What is your update interval? Because this is what I found on the web.brewfather.app site regarding iSpindel: "Never log more than once every 15 minutes, request logged more often than that will be ignored. It is very important that your update intervall is 900 or higher, otherwise your logging...

I did something similar with epoxy to fixate the sled in the tube. Calibration only 1. on a flat surface(should be giving a tilt of 89-90 degrees) and 2. in plain water(should give a tilt of between 15 and 25 degrees), that is your SG of 1.000 and 3. in a brew I measure the tilt of the iSpindel...

In the build of @gingerneil the temp sensor is on the bottom of the tube so it will be fully submerged thus measuring the temp of the liquid. I agree that in the original build the temp sensor is at the top of the tube and although it is on the side of the tube that is in the liquid the...

    1. My experience is that the temperature readings are exactly right +/- 0.1°Celsius. 2. Last fermentation started at 4.29V and ended 1 week later at 4.23V with an update frequency of 10 minutes, battery life is really no issue with this device.(and I didn't remove any leds/diodes) 1. Yes it is

If you haven't removed the diode of the Wemos you should not connect it to the usb of the Wemos while the battery is connected because the battery then gets 5V directly. This could cause overheating of the battery/fire etc. If you have flashed it over usb you can do all updates over wifi so if...

Yes, you have to build it first. All parts have to be present. Now it finds no devices, hence all the errors.

Hornindal Kveik is blowing my mind

After one week in the bottle it looked like this and tasted clean and fresh, enough hop flavor, no off flavours and some hints of citrus and enough carbonation despite of the fact I didn't use bottling yeast as suggested here http://www.garshol.priv.no/blog/393.html. I am very happy with the result.

Mangrove Jack's US West Coast Ale yeast M44 experience?

So I did an IPA with this yeast, pitched 2 packs(why 2 you ask, cause beersmith told me to) right out of pack on 17.5L(4.6 Gallon) and saw activity in the airlock only after 48 hours. Was done in 7 days from 1.060 to 1.008. Clear as water and was a really nice beer.

If you use the caching tubes like this one: https://adventure-caching.de/cache-behaelter/mikro-behaelter/233/mikro-behaelter-giantpet-riesen-pet-rohling-15-cm-x-4-cm there is no need to use anything, these things are absolutely watertight.

Hornindal Kveik is blowing my mind

I had 86% attenuation on a Green Bullet IPA. Started at 1.068 to 1.021 after 48 hours but after transfering it to secundary and dry hopping it ended up at 1.009 (ABV of 7.8%). This was all in 15 days. Bottled it yesterday with table sugar, didn't use any bottling yeast. I am pretty confident I...

My latest addition to the iSpindel, I poored 10gr of epoxy in the tube to fixate the sled. Now I can calibrate it once and not worrie anymore that it will move because I switched it on or off or connecting the usb cable to the charger or such.

Yes, temperature has an impact on gravity readings. "The effect of ignoring temperature correction will show up when the beer is cold crashed after end of fermentation, when the specific gravity should not change but iSpindel reports rise of specific gravity because the density of beer rises...

Hornindal Kveik is blowing my mind

I allways do that to get rid of the yeast at the bottom. Although it is not dead it is inactive and serves no use anymore. Eventually the cells of the inactive yeast at the bottom will break open giving off flavors to your bear.

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

Yes that is correct. I didn't remove anything and my latest build is working just fine. And once you have the firmware on there you can upgrade that over the air from your phone in the maintenance option in the iSpindel config so you don't have to hook it up to a PC anymore. But be aware, when...
