    1. The diode is to be removed, not to prevent overcharging, it is to be removed to prevent the battery getting 5V directly when flashing thru the usb on the wemos. So you'll have to remove the diode before flashing, otherwise you'll probably blow up the wemos and have a serious danger of fire...

    No alcohol ale

That is because Heineken is the only brewer(to my knowledge) that brews an actual beer with alcohol and takes the alcohol out of the beer afterwards. I never drank it myself but People who do drink it have said to me it is the closest thing to a beer with alcohol.

I have really bad experiences with wireless charging. After 5 to 10 minutes of wireless charging the thing became so hot that the tape on the lids of the battery started to melt. So no wireless charging for me anymore.

4 extra iSpindels (newly built) for sale

Why do you need to change the battery? If I am correct a 18650 3000mAh or 3500mAh rechargable like a Samsung 18650 should go in there, an ordinary AA battery will not provide enough voltage(should be > 3V) in order to make the D1 mini work.

What I did for beer today

20 days ago I brewed a Black IPA, partly steeped with 600grams GoldSwaen©Red and 400 grams BlackSwaen©Chocolate B(grinded just like coffee) at 74 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes. This "tea" I added at flame out. Partly with light and dark dry extract. Magnum hops for the bittering and Wakatu and...

I have been using Brewspy for a while now. It's an app on your phone, not for computers, but that is not an issue for me. But you can download your data, compare fermentations etc. It's a one time pay for the app.

More hops = less hoppy taste?

If I read this well and if it is a 5 gallon(19 liter) batch and you doubled the dry hop addition to 200grams you'll have 10.53 grams per liter, while I read in an article that more then 8gr per liter isn't going to give you more hop flavour but you will get a more tea/herbal flavour. If you...

    Sulfur

Sulfur has nothing to do with stressed yeast. Sulfur is released during primary fermentation. So if you smell it in your beer the primary fermentation was (way) too short. Click to see off-flavors-caused-by-yeast on 8degreesplato.com

    85 year old hop plant...

Why don't you make a few hop teas first in plain water with various amounts of hop additions to get a better idea of the bitterness and the flavour of the hop. Dryhopping with fresh cones is a nogo imo due to the risk of infection.

    85 year old hop plant...

You can use the hop straight from the plant but be aware that fresh hops can be stronger then dried hops. Also that plant looks ready to be harvested, three indications you can use to see if the hops are ripe: 1. When you rub a cone between your fingers it should feel and crackle like paper 2...

Hornindal Kveik is blowing my mind

The yeast keeps the temp up on it's own indeed, but at night it dropped a bit so I did use an external heatsource to keep it around 30C.
