    Inexpensive Cold Lager Fermentation

Kinda what I have been doing for 10 years. Dorm Fridge - Free 1*12 collar to extend it out - Think I paid ~$25 for this ages ago Temp Controller - I had one laying around but lets say ~$35 for an inkbird.

    Single Hop Pale ale

I'm not sure I'd call them interchangeable BRY-97 does express glucosidase (biotransformation) while SO5 does not. Whether or not you can taste the difference is a whole other matter. https://craftedseries.com/products/lalbrew-bry-97-american-west-coast-ale-yeast-11-g-0-38-oz

    RO brand recommendation

Do you have a picture of the whole setup? Those look like standard 10" filters. If your system is using standard filters I have been using the following for 9 years without issue on another generic system. Pre/post filters (3 year set)...

    Torani Dark Chocolate Syrup

I personally haven't, but looking at that label I'd rather just dump cocoa powder in bourbon and use that.

Could I use a syringe through a ball lock to add gelatin finings?

Yes, you can use a syringe to inject finings into kegs. These days I am usually adding a mix of ascorbic acid and kmeta to mitigate oxygen to the kegs, the gelatin I only add for beers that are to be super clear.

OP mentioned BRY97, anybody else having success with that yeast?

    Adding uncarbed keg to manifold

Depends on your setup. I really recommend adding check valves to the gas lines going to each keg so that you don't back feed gas. This way if you have a contamination or a sour you don't risk the rest. I made the mistake once of having an overfilled keg that shot a bunch of beer back into the...

    Pilsner Mayhem

Was this bad taste only on one bottle or multiple? Could be that you picked up an infection or something. When you say putrid, does it smell like a pack of bakers yeast or meaty? If so you could have ended up with the yeast autolyzing aka self destruction.

Penguin Chiller Issue - Coil Freezing

If you can, grab this stuff. It is approved for food applications and is corrosion inhibited. You really want the inhibited as the spike system has a mix of metals. https://www.chemworld.com/Dowfrost-Propylene-Glycol-1-Gallon-p/dowfrost-1.htm

Gravity Chillers with larger wort volume?

I'd be comfortable with a counterflow chiller using gravity. I have successfully done so for years before I started incorporating pumps into my setup. I'd be worried with a plate chiller with getting material stuck, and I really recommend some form of pumped recirculation for cleaning the...

    Mini Fridge

It is always worth a shot, you can try it out with just a bucket of water to see if you like the results. I 3d printed some brackets to mount the fans where I wanted.

Penguin Chiller Issue - Coil Freezing

That is tough boss. Best of luck getting it fixed. Any chance on calling a local HVAC-R tech?

    Mini Fridge

Do you have a circulation fan by the coils? I found this helped me greatly with my dorm fridge that I expanded out with 2x6s. Without the fans the coils would just ice up and then the ice just insulates the coil.

Penguin Chiller Issue - Coil Freezing

I'd suggest a small pond pump in the reservoir to keep it circulated to ensure the temp is as accurate as possible, the movement should reduce freezeup as well. Has this always been an issue or is this recent?

Penguin Chiller Issue - Coil Freezing

Do you have a temperature sensor you trust? Like a meat thermometer you know to be accurate? Can you put it into the reservoir and compare the temp reading to the one on the controller to see if your controller/controller probe is shot?

Urgent, Voss kveik at 30c, been 24 hours, when to dry hop?

If it is done fermenting get it off dry hops within 48-72 hours. After that cool it down in your keg. For gelatin to work best the beer should already be cold, once again, add some ascorbic acid or ~0.25 g of k meta with your gelatin to reduce the amount of O2 that would be bringing.
