Grab a tee and a valve to make this easy on yourself. Having to connect and disconnect that fitting every 6 months will wear stuff out and just increases risk.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I've been having good results dryhopping with ascorbic acid, therefore avoiding the sulfur issue. I then add 3g of ascorbic and 0.4g of kmeta to the keg via syringe then rack the beer on top of it. I have had much better lifetime on the kegs and no sulfur stink that I am detecting.

New YouTube Channel: Brewski Tech (DIY Tech for Better Beer)

Inspired by your project I was actually looking at the following to control my two fermentation fridges and glycol chiller. There is a spot in your yaml file where you pull out the temperature variable to display it, can you point to the documentation you used to find this variable? Full...

New YouTube Channel: Brewski Tech (DIY Tech for Better Beer)

Hey finally got around to going through your video. Thank you for putting up the resources in a separate page. I have recently tried going the route of HomeAssistant to control my fermenters. You have any other projects figured out?

    Another NEIPA issue.

I've had a decent improvement lately using the hop bong with the all rounder. When I load the hop bong I also add some ascorbic acid to scavenge some o2. Few key things about the HB, on the CO2 in carbonation cap, I have a bit of tubing that extends the point where CO2 comes in down past the...

    My counterflow chiller is clogged

I know this only gets you north of 3 feet, hoping that one of your clogs is within 3 ft of one of the ends. https://www.homebrewfinds.com/long-cleaning-brushes/

    Thiolized yeasts are going away

I think it is different than yeast vendor a and b selling the same strain of kolsch yeast. Specific to this discussion the yeast strains in question were specifically genetically modified and those insertions were patent pending.

    Just completed keezer build

ok, beware of moisture as you get into actually using it. You may want to add some dessicant packets.

Looks good. If I may ask, what are you doing to seal between the two lid faces you have?

    Thiolized yeasts are going away

I'm honestly surprised they are not pursuing legal action. There are already so many precedent cases in favor of the IP owner in terms of GMO goods, see crop protection. Even if it starts looking like they are going to lose the case I wouldn't be surprised if larger companies don't throw in some...

Same. I tee off at the "permeate in" line on my permeate pump to feed by buckets with float valves or for my keg of seltzer water.

Those types of filters usually have the gasket on top. They are not always glued, it is just a rubber disk pressed into a groove. Sometimes it will fall off when you are taking the plastic film off a new filter.

You're misunderstanding how that filter works. The liquid does pass through it. The open bottom you are seeing is where the water comes in, the top with the gasket is where the water leaves to the next stage. The gasket at top is to seal the separation between the clean and dirty. This is an...

Kansas City MO or KS? https://www.bestosmosisexperts.com/cities-that-use-chloramine/ Also your tds shouldn't really impact how many stages you are using on your filter. The RO membrane is the thing that is doing the heavy lifting on reducing the TDS of your output water. You can boost it's...

    Bucket to keg transfer?

If you have jumpers and you dont want to take it apart, get one of the plastic or stainless carbonation caps, hook up a bit of tubing to the carbonation cap, and shove the tubing into the airlocktube. use your jumpers to connect the gas post on the keg to the carbonation cap...

S-04 my new go to Pale Ale yeast

during that 1.012 to 1.010 transition did you degas and measure with a hydrometer? With all those floating hydrometers there is always some shift that happens after terminal gravity that is either caused by krausen dropping or the CO2 coming out of solution.

    RO brand recommendation

You're fine with the carbon block after it in most cases. It really depends on how heavily chlorinated your water coming in from the city is, if your city is using chloramines I'd have to read into it further.
