    Need Kegging Resources

I'm still pretty new to brewing, about 6 batches in, but I'm interested in kegging. I've looked at quite a few threads on here, but I really need some good resources that can point me in the right direction. I am not exactly sure of what basic equipment I need to get started and how to hook it...

    Hawaii keg distributors?

I thought I heard that Mike at Homebrew in Paradise was selling some, but I have to wait until next week to ask. I've just started looking at kegging too, were you able to locate any elsewhere?

Need help with first BIAB brew

I would like to switch from extract to BIAB. I would like to brew this hefeweizen recipe. I was curious to find out how much water I will need to start with. I will be using a 44 quart fryer pot with basket to hold the bag. If anyone can educate me on how to calculate how much water to start...

    Stuck fermentation

Here is a picture. I don't think it's bad, just curious if it's normal.

    Stuck fermentation

I added some yeast nutrient and another packet of yeast and it seems to be fermenting down now. I try to stir it up at least once a day. I have noticed a foam at the top that looks like starsan, has anyone else had this show up in a batch before? I can take some pictures when I get home if...

    Stuck fermentation

Thanks for the replies. I will try to make it over to the LHBS for some nutrient in the next few days, keep agitating, and add some more yeast.

    Stuck fermentation

I Made a wine based off a recipe that a coworker gave me. The recipe is 2 cans of hawaii's own guava strawberry concentrate, and 1lb sugar per gallon of water. I made a 6 gallon batch. It's been about 4 weeks and the gravity is still around 1.050. I don't have an OG because at first I was...

    Need help finding SG

Thanks guys. I tried it last night and it was great, it could still use a little more time for the flavors to mellow out, but great for such a simple recipe. I used just used table sugar by the way. I've read that brown sugar works well for this also, I may try that in a later batch.

    Need help finding SG

    Quick airlock question

The jigger was lifting all the way to the lid, and the lid has some small holes in it to vent. I'm pretty sure I just filled it up too much. The jigger has lowered back down now, so either fermentation has stopped or slowed down as I assumed it would by the end of the first week. Now its just...

    Quick airlock question

It's a 3 piece, sorry I thought I put that in the original post. So if I filled it too much, that would cause it?

    Quick airlock question

I just brewed my first beer this past Saturday. I know the airlock is just the vent, I don't plan on opening the bucket until three weeks as long as I can stay patient. I did notice that the airlock produced bubbles if the lid was off of the airlock itself, but with the lid on the airlock, no...

    Crushed Grains

I am currently deployed and will be back home in about a month and a half. I want to start brewing and I was going to start with some extract kits from midwest. If I get a kit with specialty grains, do they need to be crushed, if so, how long will crushed grains keep before they need to be...

$64 Starter Kit from Midwest Homebrewing from Groupon

If you're looking for this deal and it's expired, it looks like they pretty much have one going on all the time, just with different locations. All I did to find one that wasn't expired was google "site:groupon.com midwest homebrewing", you may have to pull up a few pages, but you'll eventually...
