Seeing as my o-ring lasted all of 30 seconds and I got a great crush, I'd say it's not critical :D I'm getting ~84% using this mill :rockin: Allows me to buy several batches worth at a time and brew when I can - rather than rush because the grain's already crushed. Very pleased with it!

When I brewed extract, my batches cost a bit more than they do now (AG)...but my average cost per batch is now around $28-$30. I've got everything for a DFH 60 minute IPA - that was closer to $45 due to extra grain and - well - a 'few' extra hops... Some of my batches are $22 before shipping...

Thanks for the advice - I'll leave the CaraAmber out and save it for another time - I'm pretty sure my LHBS has Munich - I'll get out there this weekend for the Big Brew and get some. Thanks! :mug: (BTW - are the hops really noticeable in this brew? :D j/k)

I'm new to AG - would CaraAmber be a suitable replacement for the Thomas Fawcett Amber? (The store didn't have any of the latter - CaraAmber was all I found...) Or should I just revert back to the Maris Otter? Really looking forward to brewing this next weekend - I was just introduced to DFH...
