    Can't brew for another 7 months :(

Lackland AFB in San Antonio. I don't know where I'll be after that. But as soon as I get stationed somewhere semi-permanently, I'll get housing allowance and grab an apartment or rent a house so I can continue there. This is just a short term hiatus.

    Is it Safe ?!

I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to boil the water on the same day. I can't even think of a possible answer.

    Hello from Southern California

This is an awesome site dude. But I'm sure you know that. I only just registered myself even though I have been reading the forums here for like 6 months lol. Let us know how it turns out.

    Carbonation

Darker brews such as stouts will take longer to carb up and condition. But I'm surprised that the instructions say to just add granulate sugar. You could easily contaminate the brew and also sugar doesn't dissolve easily at room temperature. Do what I suggested in my previous post. 4 ounces...

    Through the eyes of SWMBO

I would share this, but she is unfamiliar with the acronym 'SWMBO'. And I do not intend for her to learn of this term.

I live right next to a more beer showroom. So I don't order anything. I just head down the street and get it in person =p

No Chill vs Chill in the Fermenter

I have a spigot on my BK with some silicone tubing attached. So once the boil is finished I just throw the tubing into my fermenting bucket that has my wort chiller already in there. I run cold water through the wort chiller and it takes about 30 minutes for it to get down to 70 degrees or so...

    Alaskan Amber Clone

Thanks I am gonna make this. But I dont have a store that keeps fresh wyeast on hand near by. I use White Labs. Do you think that any yeast meant for a European styled beer would be essentially the same thing? Or at least close enough?
