Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

Do you recall how much you used? I'm thinking .5# oats and reducing the flaked rice from 1# to .5#... Also, did you mean that was your LAST or LEAST favorite version?

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

    Korea microbreweries???

I just came across these links on the Seoul Brew Club Facebook page. I can't claim credit for it, but they're an excellent reference for anyone living in or visiting Korea who loves good beer (which is basically everyone on HBT)...

    Korea microbreweries???

Yeah, Craftworks is ok, but there are a lot of other microbreweries doing bigger things in my opinion. With that said, they do have my respect...they basically started the craft beer movement in Korea. It's unlikely that you'd be able to enjoy a lot of the other local craft brews if they hadn't...

    WLP644 -Brett B Trois

Been reading through this amazing thread for a few weeks now. I got my hands on a vial of WLP644 here in South Korea and made a .5L starter a week ago, stepped up to 1L after three days. A friend and I brewed a 5gal batch of IPA each for an upcoming IPA competition in Busan, S. Korea and took...

    Patrigyle-ish

The finished product! We dry hopped with 1oz Citra for 7 days in the primary, just for kicks. Totally exceeded my expectations! Sorta CDA-ish. 1.036/1.006 ~ came out just a tad under 4%. It'll be brew day beer for the next several sessions. Not bad at all for free beer!

    Nano Brewhouse

So I got a closer look today and it's all or none and it's a WHOLE lot more than what you seen in that room. The manager isn't a brewer and he wasn't sure of the fermenter size, but it's got Glycol piping, industrial wort chiller, one MLT that pumps through the chiller to two HLT's for...

    Nano Brewhouse

Wow! Good info! I think they might be bigger than that. I'm hoping that nobody knows exactly what they're looking at and it goes cheap. I'm not crossing my fingers though. I'm headed there today to try to get a closer look. As far as a brewery location, I don't know yet. Like I mentioned, I'm...

    Nano Brewhouse

I have no clue what the opening bid will be, but I'm planning to be there for the auction if I can. Do you know what would be a reasonable price?

    Nano Brewhouse

I don't know if this is the appropriate place for this, so if it isn't, please, someone let me know... Like basically anyone who has ever homebrewed, my dream is to one day open my own brewpub. I'm still at least 7 years away from that being a possibility, but I'd like to buy things I'll need...

    Korea microbreweries???

Beer for Geeks is cool! Good selection, but way overpriced! I do recommend the pizza place directly across the street. They have a vanilla ice cream float in locally brewed stout. I think it's called Moo-Mazing! Excellent! The Springs Taphouse and Craftworks are also within a 2-3 minute walk...

    Patrigyle-ish

Thanks for your feedback! Sorry it's taken me so long to reply...work's been hectic. We ended up going with collection of second runnings from each batch and combining them rather than combining the grains and remashing together. Here are some pics of the ordeal... The dry grains on top of the...

    Patrigyle-ish

A friend and I are brewing two different beers on the same day. The first will be a Flapjack Breakfast Stout (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=496504) and the second a chocolate chili dark ale. After thinking about it, we decided that we could make a third brew from the second...

Oatmeal Stout Flapjack Breakfast Stout (Chocolate-Coffee-Oatmeal-Maple Imperial Stout)

I'll be brewing this in a few weeks. One question I have is on coffee addition. I just brewed a coffee vanilla porter in January. I add the coffee beans 4 days before bottling but it took about a month for the coffee flavor to balance out. I came out perfect but with time. I'll be brewing this...

Ok, thanks! I'll keep an eye on it.

    Start of infection?

Any update on this, Tombsy? I think I may have something similar, but I don't think mine has progressed that far. It was a very, very thin layer of film. I went ahead and bottled anyway due to other time constraints. After 3 days it looks like it may be expanding within each bottle. Anyone...

    Blueberry Vanilla Porter turned Wine

Yeah, I know. But it was a good learning experience if nothing else.

    Blueberry Vanilla Porter turned Wine

I verified that my hydrometer isn't the problem and went back to get a new reading and found mold on the surface. So...I guess that's that. Thank you all for your advice and input! Cheers!
