How long do beer kits stay fresh?

Nice. I have an Amber that will be sitting for 4 weeks before brew day. So it sounds like it should be fine. I just need to stay outta the recipe forum and MLHBS until these are completed.

How long do beer kits stay fresh?

I purchased a few kits that I plan on brewing and every time I go to MLHBS or look on here something else catches my eye that I want to brew next. I'm about ready to get another bucket or carboy for a primary, but for now I only have one. With that said, I have three kits that are gonna be...

    Storing carboys and buckets

I got the W.A.Y. single step no-rinse cleaner and have some mixed with water just sitting in the bottling bucket. Is this bad?

Is a glass carboy a must?

Well, I purchased one of those 5 gal better bottles for a secondary. I also got a drilled stopper and another airlock. I hope thats right by the way. Thanks for everyone's input, if it wasn't for all of you I would have gotten a 6.5 gallon for a secondary.

Is a glass carboy a must?

Sorry if this has been posted many times before. But I am wondering if getting a glass carboy for a secondary is a must? I have just the basic bucket and I am looking to get the best results. So what should I get? Is the 6.5 the norm for 5 gallons of brew? I was looking online and wasnt sure if...

    Coffee Brown Ale

This sounds really tasty! I was wondering is it a very filling beer? Maybe a one and done? I'm also wondering how you added the coffee. Did you just put in right into the brew?

How long can you leave beer in a primary?

I got the same gravity reading three days in a row after 10 days. Is that wrong to bottle then? It was only my second batch so hopefully it still comes out good.

Can I add it after the brew process? Because I brewed it last night. I was thinking maybe to add something before I rack the brew.

    Oatmeal stout question

This is my 3rd batch so I'm venturing out a little. So I bought the brewers best Irish stout and steeped .5 lbs of oats during the brewing process. I was just wondering if anyone has some suggestions on how I can make this the best beer known to man. I took a sip when I did a gravity reading and...

Cool! It sounds like ill be good! I wasnt worried about infection, I was just worried that the priming sugar would somehow affect the carbonation process, since I didnt heat it and dissolve it. Thanks alot for all the replies! Ive told many people of this great website, and the replies proved my...

I forgot to heat priming sugar

Well, I didnt heat the priming sugar in water. I just sprinkled it as the beer was siphoning into the bottling bucket. Should I save some hassle and dump every bottle? Thx
