    well we kegged our first brew and have fun enjoying the fruits of our labor.. decided to share..we won a kegerator at the world beer festival and definately enjoyed keggin it .. we have not perfected it yet..but enjoying it is fun! so here ya go! our first brew:

    Well I just got back in from the road trip. I found Beerat ok, a real nice guy. I havent had a chance to look at all of it yet but Im sure its all fine. I cant wait to start kegging, Im going today to pick up the kegerator that I won last weekend at the World Beer Festival. Thanks again Beerat. Greg

    we gotta agree the new belgium was NASTY!!! but well we spoke way too soon.. guess who really DID win the kegerator?? oh yea.. WE DID!!!!! life is good!!! :tank: got the call from Mark around 7 tonight!!!

    yes we had the krauesen in both...next brew we plan on using a carboy for the first fermentation so that we can see more of the activity

    i think there was a good time had by all.. it was good to meet everyone.. i enjoyed hanging out afterwards and getting to know everyone.. hopefully we can all get together again.. thanks for the beer swaps..ill owe the group some beer when mine is ready.. just noticed the field behind me...

    way to go girl.. it tastes good and im proud that she did a good job.. she did almost all of this completely on her own while i sat back and supervised! LOL.. shes definately proud of it!

    in comparing the racking of the 1st brew at the beginning to the 2nd brew in the beginning.. they appear to be pretty close in color.. as you can see above mine has gotten considerably darker.. is this pretty normal? suggestions/comments? 2nd brew (left) 1st brew (right)

    racked our second brew today... thought id share a comparison pic for you.. i thought that my beer was pretty light until i compared it with the 2nd which was suppose to be a pretty light beer. there was a definate difference in the taste.. the second was really light and sweet...pretty...

    possible stuck fermentation??

    so i brewed sunday and today there is almost no activity in my fermentor bucket... any advice on what i should do? should i go ahead and take a specific gravity or just wait? this was a partial grain/extract brew.... just kinda worried because i know its suppose to stay in the fermentor...

    well its been 7 days and the fermentor lock has stopped producing any co2 so we are racking into the carboy today.. am looking forward to getting the specific gravity and seeing what it looks like.. ill keep ya updated...
