12 Beers of Christmas 2019 Edition

The Crabapple Lambicky for the West group is underway this morning. I have not found a reliable Crab Apple source so it will likely turn out to be a Cranberry Lambicky but we will see. I will ferment it with the Wyeast Belgian Lambic Blend which I have used many times before. I stuck with the...

How to get a sour/acidic aftertaste in IPA

The Imperial Yeast Citrus mentioned would be a good choice for you. Citrus cranks out orange and lemon aromas along with some tropical fruit. Use this strain at high temps for big ester production. A wild saccharomyces strain, it will get a bit funky without the worries of a brettanomyces...

    Non Alcohol Homebrew?

https://www.brewdog.com/lowdown/diydog If you go download the Brew Dog recipe book, they had a beer called Nanny State that is .5%. Haven't made it myself but maybe that is what you need.

    Washington RIP Homebrew Heaven (Everett)

Homebrew Heaven was my first shop when I started brewing. Over the years I have been to them all. It is very sad that three of the oldest shops in the area have closed recently. Full disclosure, I own Micro Homebrew. We have been open almost 4 years and we are seeing customers that started...

    12 Beers Of Christmas 2016!

Okay, I am sending the address now. Me and Jesseny04 are together so we will be shipping the Juniper Rye Bock and the Saffron Tripel in the same box. Just send 6 bottles instead of 3 to my address, that will save you a box.

    12 Beers Of Christmas 2016!

Well, I know we never filled all the spots and we didn't get much response back in August when I posted. Let's do a little roll call. Who is ready to ship their beer in a little over a month? I do have mine done.

    Force carbonation pressures

Haha. I see what I did. Thank you for your efforts. I am just going to go away quietly now.

    Force carbonation pressures

I am using Brewzor. I have liked it for everything else. It asks for volumes of CO, Beer temperature and volume of beer. It's pretty straight forward.

    Force carbonation pressures

I know this should obvious to me but I am just not getting it. If I enter the information into a carbonation calculator for 5 gallons it says I need 17psi. If I do everything the same but for 2 gallons it says 27psi. Why? Seems like under the same pressure the liquid would take on the same...
