    Temperature regulated stir plate

Pretty cool idea! Does the temp sensor have to be submerged in the starter?

This is what I've always used.

    Canning from Keg/Bottle

You should be able to carbonate in the can, just like you would in a bottle.

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Where did you work? I was laid off from Aerojet in December

    Show me your Grant build

One thing I forgot to mention is that there are many sources for these liquid level controllers on ebay, but pay attention as some are kits that require you to solder all the components on the board yourself. I got one like that by accident. It was no big deal, as I can solder somewhat...

    Show me your Grant build

The system has worked out very well for me. It's far easier to dial in the flow using gravity rather than throttling a pump down to that slow of flow (you also don't have to listen to the pumps running). I only need to set the flow to the grant, MUCH easier than trying to match and maintain flow...

Ventilation For Boil Kettle Guidance Request

Not sure what you're referring to, I don't use any plastic wrap on my system. You may be referring to a test someone did on the steam condenser thread. If you have a decent fitting lid, there is no need for a seal. I actually have 2 different systems and I use the same condenser on both. My 10...

Ventilation For Boil Kettle Guidance Request

You don't mention what type of system you brew on, if burning gas you need lots of ventilation. If you're electric, I'd highly recommend a steam condenser over a vent fan. Here is the home version thread that started the trend but there are commercial examples you can buy now including Bobby's...

All grain canned wort, so far so good!

I use mine all the time on my turkey fryer propane jet burner, which I believe is rated at 55K BTU. That is a maximum rating, I just keep it turned way down and heat it slowly. You should always pay very close attention when using a pressure cooker, bad things can happen if you don't.

    Keg to bottle?

I've used almost every type of filling method, from simple off the tap, beer gun, Last Straw, counter-pressure, etc. Almost all have had foaming issues, can be wasteful, hard to clean and sanitize, or other issues. The Tapcooler is by far the easiest, quickest, most efficient, and best...

All grain canned wort, so far so good!

I also use the Presto 23qt. canner, and if you use all wide mouth jars (narrow ones are too tall), you can fit a second layer of Pint jars in with those quarts, basically increasing your output by 50% and giving you a little more flexibility with starter amounts.

All grain canned wort, so far so good!

The canned wort is sterile, no need to reboil, just dip everything in Starsan before opening and adding together. Literally takes minutes, so yes, it saves me a ton of time in the long run.

All grain canned wort, so far so good!

I've been canning starter wort for several years now and love it. It used to take me a couple hours every time I made a starter, boiling DME and cooling to pitching temp. Now everything gets a dip in starsan and I'm good to go. I also use all grain (It's a great way to use up older grain), it's...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

    Brew room design

I highly recommend a steam condenser over a vent hood, I have both and never use the hood any more. Here is the thread on building one and there are off the shelf options like this one from Bobby at Brewhardware.com. A vent hood requires make up air which makes temp control difficult. Vents are...

Transmit Tilt Hydrometer to ESP32 microcontroller

No offense taken at all, hopefully I didn't offend you either, sounds like you have a bit more knowledge than me about these units. I was pretty surprised that mine worked on the first try! Glad you got it figured out and thanks for the tip on the repeating time. I figured it was a setting in...
