Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Thanks Thorrak, just glad it wasn't something I did

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Hey Thorrak, I reflashed my ESP32-S2 board with the 0.15 beta wifi firmware and that fixed the issue with entering an offset for the probe, but now as soon as the controller boots up, the cooling relay kicks on. The display still shows control as "Off". I can start a profile, but the cooling...

    Using BrewFlasher With ESP32 S2?

I had the same issues flashing brewpi to one. I believe I had to follow the same steps you mentioned, but then hold the "0" button again while starting the flash.

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Thanks Thorrak, I'm actually putting this controller together for a buddy who wants to try it out. I hate to give him something that might have bugs still. For the moment, I may be better off just leaving the temp probe off a little and compensating for it in the temp setting. Maybe by the time...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

The brewpi firmware was the 0.14 beta wifi. The Fermentrack branch is Dev. Commit Date was 10-17-22 and it is set to install all updates

Does anyone know the answer to this?

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I'm installing a new BrewPi controller built with the ESP32-S2 board. Everything set up fine, but I wanted to adjust a .8 deg F temperature difference for the chamber probe. I couldn't find any way to set the offset without unassigning the probe and reassigning it. The problem is it fails to...

    Tilt signal strength

I use a tilt repeater project built on an ESP32 board that you can find for $10 or less on Amazon. It's not my project, but it works very well. I got @Thorrak to add it to his Brewflasher app and Brewflasher Web Edition, which makes it very easy to flash. It will repeat any Tilt signal it can...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

This is exactly what I use to collect water from brewing. I have 2 side by side and use a pump to cool with these via my counter flow chiller. Depending on the season and whether I'm doing an ale or a lager, I might have to involve some ice and a prechiller coil. When it gets really hot, I use...

    Random Picture Thread

I was actually a little closer to it than you, I'm in Garden Valley. Can sure be a little unnerving when they burn this close! Looks like another fire that can be chalked up to PG&E, the product of putting profits above public safety for decades. ABC 10 did a fantastic series about PG&E and...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

I did the same, just could not get the V4.0 to work. I set the pins on the S2 to #5 for Heat and #7 for Cool and everything functioned as it did with the D1 (only it works now!). Many thanks to Thorrak for creating this solution!

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I'm fermenting my first beer using Fermentrack and it's holding my beer temp within .1 deg F, but it's cycling cool/heat to do it. I didn't see it do that but a couple times during the testing I did with water, maybe it's because of the heat being generated from active fermentation. I'm...

    New sparge arm

It looks like it should work fine. As others have mentioned, I like to be able to have some adjustment to minimize splashing. I use a product called Lockline and have it set up with a cam lock fitting for easy removal. I use the same arm in both my 10 gal HERMS rig and my 5 gal BIAB
