California Custom Brew buckets with dump valves, last straw bottling wand, and brew bag hangers

I have two customized Brew Buckets with beautifully TIG welded 1.5" sanitary ferrules welded on. These also include the 90 deg elbows and butterfly valves. Makes dumping yeast and hops possible. I have used these for years, but have switched to conicals with pressure capabilities, so no longer...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

I've had the best luck flashing the ESP32-S2 mini's with the Brewflasher App. The only way I've gotten these to flash is to hold both the buttons to put it flash mode before selecting the port. I select the erase flash, and then hold the "Boot", or "0" button while selecting the "download...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

One of mine does the same thing, it's really wierd. One of mine loads super quick and the other is extremely slow. They are both ESP32-S2 mini builds . They were flashed a couple weeks apart (I believe the quick one was beta 4 and the other was beta 5 version, but I won't swear to it. I thought...

Hey @Thorrak, did you ever get a chance to look into what was going on with this issue?

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Hey @Thorrak, I did a guided tilt calibration, and it went well until I got to the end and got this message:

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

No, what he was pointing to was the code for a ESP32 Tilt Repeater. Way cheaper, and works very well!

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Thanks for the input guys. Please forgive me, as my electrical knowledge is somewhat limited. I truely appreciate the advice from you with much more knowledge and experience than I 😁 So, I'm guessing that you feel I should use a heatsink? I know that many of the inexpensive SSR's are chinese...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Thanks Lee, These are True GDM-10PT's. They are commercial 10cf merchandising fridges with a 1/3hp compressor. The only rating I can find is a Full Load rating of 7.3A. I was using a Kill-A-Watt meter to get the Amp reading, but not sure if that's the running amps or peak (pretty sure it's not...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Well, I've had an issue recently with my controllers (ESP32-S2 mini running v0.14 with Fermentrack Dev branch) locking on the cooling relay. I'm concerned that my fridges may be drawing too much power at startup (drawing a little under 7.3 amps running). It happened the second time last night...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Hey Thorrak, just updated one of my controllers (ESP32-S2 mini) to the Beta 4 release. The web interface is a really cool addition! I did notice that the beer temp isn't displaying on the "Current Temps". It is fine on the LCD Display. Just figured I'd let you know in case there's a bug. Thanks...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Now I'm a little confused , I thought the BrewPi/Fermentrack were just using wifi for normal control. Is this just an issue with the original ESP32, or also a problem with the S2 Mini?

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

Thanks Thorrak, I wasn't thinking about some of the newer variants. I believe the ones I am using are just ESP-32. The ESP-32S, I think, were just an upgraded ESP-32 and should work, maybe someone can verify that. Not sure about compatablity with any other versions.

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

I believe any of the ESP32 or ESP32S boards will work

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Dang Thorrak, I was just getting on to thank you for the Beta 2 release fixing my issue, and I find Beta 3 and 4 are released. How the heck are we supposed to keep up with you! o_O Thanks again

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

You can build a tilt repeater quite easily with a simple ESP32. The firmware is already loaded on Brewflasher and is very easy to flash. It will repeat all Tilts in range and boost the signal to one Tiltbridge. Tiltbridge is AWESOME and makes managing your Tilts MUCH easier than a TiltPi. You...
