    I finally found a keg for $50. I picked it up this morning. I pulled the spear and cleaned it out. Now to cut the top and drill for the ball valve/thermometer and site tube. What do I do with the spear? Its in good shape but I have no need for it. It seems a waste to throw it away.

    It went smoothly to bottle my first brew. Now they are sitting in my secondary refrigerator at 68*F to bottle condition. It did go smoothly because I read a bunch of posts on here to learn the better ways to not make such a mess lol. Thanks!

    Keggle price?

    Hey all. I have an offer to buy a 15 gallon keggle. It has the top cut and one hole for a ball valve. I would have to put a site tube on. The price is 80. Is that a good deal? I can buy a brand new single ply 15 gallon brew pot with ball valve and gallon markings for 130 on Amazon.

    Tri bottom really matter?

    Does a tribottom kettle really matter? I found a 15 gal kettle with a hole for a ball valve and graduated markings for water volume for 126. Or the same pot with out the hole or ball valve in tri bottom for 135. Then I have to drill out the hole and buy another ball valve.

    A good quality thermometer?

    Hello, There are so many different thermostats out there. I bought on that clips on the side of the pot. It was OK until it got over 100*F then it was about 20* off. I returned it to my LHBS.
