Which potentiometer do I need for a stir plate?

There are many ways to make this work.....it all comes down to cost and features you want to have on your stir plate. For me, I love building things. I also wanted the ability to control the speed, increased longevity/versatility, I have also installed a simple on/off switch as well and I am...

Which potentiometer do I need for a stir plate?

One of the two wires will have some form of white (or colored) lines, ribs or something to indicate the difference. Also from my experience building a few stir plates (for me and others). 25k ohm is great when using a 6v-9v power supply. A 50k would be good for a 9v to 12 v power supply...

Suggestions for a repurposed corny keg?

I have some corny's that act like yours.... Pretty much try a different lids(see if you can borrow one if you only have 1 keg) you will be surprised to see that a different lid or slight style difference will make it seal. That and a good coat of keg lube or similar does wonders

    Beer names for Wedding brews

I just had our wedding on July 7th and I brewed all the beer. I had a cream style ale (cream ale/kolsch) and an IPA. The beers were named after our two dogs, Tiny Dinosaur India Pale Ale and Boomerino Cream Ale, our one dog sounded like a screeching dinosaur when she was a puppy and the other...

    Balancing the keg system

How many seconds to pour a full Pint? I would say 5-7 seconds is where you should shoot for. My system with very similar setup as far as lines and height of kegs runs at 11psi. Unless I am doing a super carbonated or very low carbonated beer.

    Finally Got my Efficancy!!

I have been plagued by poor efficacy ever since I went to all grain. My 1st ever all grain batch was a 67% efficacy using store crushed grains. Then I went to a corona grain mill with mods and was never able to get above 65%. Today I just hit 84.5% Fantastic JUMP and I could not be happier...

    The taller collar keezer build

If you wanted to you can take the lid off and build a completely new one out of wood that you just need to insulate. But going the fan route.....cheapest is a computer fan wired to a old cell phone charger ext. And if you wanted to save power you could split the "out" using a 2 way plug on...
