    Dry storage for grain

I wanna have a grain storage setup ( 50-second youtube video ) like DrHanz when I grow up. Haha But seriously, that is pretty cool. I've recently found his YouTube channel and am learning new stuff all the time.

    Dry storage for grain

Wow, thanks for all of that great information, everyone! I'll look into all of that. :)

    Dry storage for grain

I saw those. They're really nice looking and also too expensive for me. I like this approach. I see those are $10 per lid. I would still use the plastic food bags to keep the basement smell out. EDIT: Then again, maybe that isn't necessary...?

    Dry storage for grain

Hi, I've been reading a lot of stuff on buying grain in 50lbs allotments. The issue I'm dealing with is humid climate and a damp basement floor if it rains really hard for a day or two. Obviously, I would need an air tight container to store the grains, but what about food grade bags (Like...

    Beer line length

Edit: I was half awake when I made this post and have since deleted my question in it.

    Beer line length

Okay, so I shouldn't cut any lines until I get ready to keg a beer. Got it! Thanks, DayTrippr!

    Beer line length

Okay, this is the results that were given me per info entered into the calculator. When deciding between the 4mm vs 5mm, I really liked what I read about 4mm line lengths, but sadly I had to opt for the 5mm variant, due to the non-removable 1/4in (6.5mm) hose barb size on this particular...

    Where is my regulator leaking?

Roger that! I'm now running a second test. So far, the guage is remaining right on 12# like it should. Looks like we are good to go. I'll report back if anything drastically changes. Thanks, everyone!

    Beer line length

Ok, I know there are so many posts on this topic, some of which I've read, but I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it. From what I've gathered, it is dependent on beer style (FG) as well keezer temp, but let's I don't want to complicate it with long mathematical equations. I heard that...

    Where is my regulator leaking?

Now the low pressure guage reads zero, which is 90-minutes later. FWIW CO2 tank if still fully in the closed position. Also, the room is warmer.

    Where is my regulator leaking?

Yes, it is the low pressure that I am referencing (the guage on top in the picture from my original post), but I did google it to make sure I had the nomenclature correct.

    Where is my regulator leaking?

Ok, I'm back at it this morning. I had fully shut off the CO2 tank last night, so before I gave the pressure regulator a 2nd chance today, I loosened the coupling nut attaching the regulator to the tank and re-tightened it. Then fully opened the CO2 tank and set the regulator to 12 psi. Fully...

    Where is my regulator leaking?

Oh, that's good to know! @ operate fully open or fully closed, but never in between So, the pressure guage read 12psi when CO2 tank was fully opened. The reading on the guage dropped to 10psi in 5 minutes. Oh, then you said to fully close the CO2 tank after setting it at 12 (or whatever) psi...

    Where is my regulator leaking?

Hi, I have installed this new regulator per the instructions (my first time), but the pressure is dropping ever so slowly. I opened up the CO2 tank nozzle slowly and got the regulator pressure set to 12psi and locked that knob in place. The CO2 tank is wide open now. I made up a warm soapy cup...

Questions about the Duotight / EVABarrier system for my keezer

Thank you to all of the valuable information you all shared. Marc, I read through all of those linked threads and decided it was the route to go (not that you were discouraging the decision), but I sure am glad to know what to watch out for. Products purchased! Cheers! :mug:

Questions about the Duotight / EVABarrier system for my keezer

Wow, thanks for the save! Is the tubing cutter worth the $4 or just use a sharp box cutter? Sorry to spam you with notifications. Thanks for all of your help. Cheers!

Questions about the Duotight / EVABarrier system for my keezer

Oh, I like your methodology! @ keeping the pressure setting untouched as well as a simply on/off valve. Also, what is this crescent you speak of? I didn't find one at on their website.

Questions about the Duotight / EVABarrier system for my keezer

So, just clarifying, but the Duotight gas regulators are not able to shut off the gas flow??

Questions about the Duotight / EVABarrier system for my keezer

Hi, After searching around the forums, I still have some questions. [EDIT: Purchase processed.] So, I've built my first keezer. It's a 4-tap [corny keg] system w/20# CO2 tank. I've spent some money on this journey and while waiting for my food grade beer line which is stuck in Alabama, I...
