anyone have a good corona clone recipe

If you go extract, I would simply use a Cooper or munton kit, with 100-200grams of pislen extract and 500-650grams of corn sugar and the sugar provided or another good clean yeast (a few are listed here) and brew it as a lager like. Do a 2-5 min boil tops to keep the colour light and you have a...

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

I thought as much. Oh well. Could be because I tried to use old rice leftovers.

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

So thinking something may have happened to one of my batches. Forgot to punch the cap down and pretty sure it went to mold on the top.

Brand New! How do I start?

To add to what everyone else is saying, also look for used equipment (carboys etc) from people leaving the hobby, u-brew shops closing/updating/renovating, as well as sushi restaurants for bottles (an amazing source of them surprisingly) I got my initial set up for 90%off what it would have...

    Grain containers in canada

That's what I have been using so far. They work great and can be stacked decently, but my cat is a class 1 A hole so may move to a near airtight rubber made storage container with the bag itself put inside as well.

Before or after the volounteers arrived?

How long does bottled homebrew stay good for?

Depends in the beer, the flavour, the amount if O2, abv etc. I've had ales last 1.5yrs by accident and others from the same recipie fo acrid after a few months.

    Grain containers in canada

I have a bunch of these actually, but didn't think they would be "airtight enough" for storing grains. And issues with long termish storing (like a few months) Awesome thanks! Yeah I looked at those and drooled but sadly the bank balance can't afford it in the least bit. Having to do a good...

mangrovejacks pear cider didnt yeast to recomandations

Some cider kits have add on for increasing final sweetness. Did you add anything like that? It can effect the OG as well. Plus some ciders finish out around there, had a few at 1.006

    Scotish Export

Well if you look at it abstractly and not in flavour profile, both are: Higher abv Age amazingly Dark beer Strong flavoured Malt driven As for aging it, my advice is to do several batches at once, keep some for drinking and put the others back in the box, and then stack your empty bottles on...

    Sparkling "Hard" water recipe

Most likely. I'm betting my daughter hid it again, she loves taking it and running off with it, convinced it is my "potion" book.

    How cloudy is too cloudy?

Just remember that you are comparing your with to a wit-like. Blue moon (as far as I can remember at least) is brewed with yeast similiar to an American wit, but has a grain/spice bill of a Belgian wit, so the flavours will be similiar but noticeably different IMO. All on all I would bottle...

    Many questions

For your NEIPAS if you are going to be bottling I would advise doing what I do, brew at 4-4.5 abv, bottle using a wand, and use 1l swing tops. You can get 18 from most batches, plus a sample cup, you get minimal O2 interactions, and since it is more sessionable, you can drink all of them within...

    just finished a run

For Sweet feed whiskey, the non malted barley has some enzyme capability, but no where near enough for proper conversion of the grains. What you are doing without added enzymes or malted barley is closer to a sugarhead (a grain flavoured whiskey similiar to UJSSM and Gumball). With added alpha...

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

CO2 buildup can cause a plethora of problems not including a bomb, including stressing yeast too much and killing it or cause off flavours. A piece of cheese clothe several layers thick may give enough of a gap to let out co2 while keeping it sanitary.

    Fruits beers?

What type of banana? Sweet or plantain? For plantain bananas, they can work great as a source of carbohydrates to ferment but they need either enzymes (traditionally from being chewed by the brewery or modernly by either diastic grains or added alpha amalayse). For yeast, try to find a local...

Best apple varieties for calvados and recipe

10abv is for the wash not the finished product. Since it is going to be distilled to between 50-80% depending on your still, the flavour will be concentrated by 5-8 times but fractured between the cuts, not including what remains in the boiler after your run. For finished product it's best...

    Sparkling "Hard" water recipe

Sort of, just a heads up that honey, even smaller amounts, needs some more time to be at it's full potential. I'll try and find the recipies when I get home. Also another good quick drink is country wine coolers. I usually have a jug in the fridge for summertime, and all you need is a large...
