Mashing my American brown ale now.

I had low efficiency on 2 batches after switching homebrew shops. I have to mill my grain twice to teach the same efficiency i was before. Also, make sure your pre boil volumes are not to high, this diluting your wort. Beersmith was off on those batches as well.

Mostly whiskey and rum, but beer wise i drank Killian's irish red and yuengling. Usually went for the liquor though. St Bernardus abt 12 really got me into liking beer though.

I've gotten killer deals on craigslist over the years. Also, try ebay. I found some perlick faucets for $13 a piece after shipping.

Kegged my citra pale ale and racked my flanders red to secondary and pitched the bugs and oak chips.

This was the perfect beer for yesterday.

What would be a good name for my pale ale that was brewed on Friday the 13th and kegged on the fourth of July?

I keep detailed notes, but i have no idea how many batches I've brewed. Somewhere around 35 i think.

I've had this on the keg for 2.5 weeks and it tastes awesome. I finally dialed in the right pressure and it's so good with great mouth feel. It's been about 7 weeks since I brewed it so it's nice and clear. Thinking about bottling some up and entering a comp to see how it does.

Wow, so much for constructive feedback. All I wanted to know was what all of the hype is about. Just because I don't like it isn't any reflection on anyone else. If you have a problem with my post, don't read it and don't reply. Oh, and I'll take my wife's opinion over anyone else's any day...

I've been using my mark 2 keg and carboy washer to clean my better bottles. I just set it on there and let it run for a while then rinse. Works like a charm. I sold my glass fermenter because I have 2 kids under 5 and couldn't forgive myself if anything happened to them due to a broken glass...

I've been loving my chugger pump. Makes cooling my wort so much easier.

I agree. Lived in Escondido for almost 2 years and don't like most stone beers. Not a hater, just entitled to my opinion.

So after trying several, I've determined that I just don't like them. I just opened a maharajah and think it's one of the worst Imperial IPA's I've had. I just haven't found anything of theirs that I can enjoy. If there's something I'm missing about their beers I sure don't know what it is...
