    Quadrupel, and IPA are my two favorite types of beer, and i want to make a quadrupel ipa, has anyone ever done this? I am planning on getting a recipe for a comercial quad, and making it a quad ipa. tips? hints? pointers? moans? complaints?

    Bottle conditioning in 80 degree temps?

    it gives off flavors. thats what the last two batches of mine have succumb to. so sad. made a hoegaarden clone and it smells like armpit.

    the hell kind of yeast did they smack into that batch? 20% would just about slaughter any strain i know of. in fact, how do they get utopias up to 25? is it reinforced?

    yeah its that "oak aged" part that kills most aspects of ever recreating such a beer, on top of the fact that you'd probably have to make five different beers first, then blend them and find the right proportions. hell no.
