since I want to learn as much as I can before I attempt to brew anything, I would like some recommendations on good literature relating to brewing. particularly stuff aimed at new brewers. What books are recommended to help me learn?

very good point. although discussing the finer points of something, but not necessarily the methods of manufacture, or actual production of something illegal isnt really against the law. well, not the last time I checked anyways.

Yes, my 87 is the Hurricane. I presently have the whole motor out for valve work, but its been dead reliable. Hondas are sweet machines. this is only my THIRD so far since I started. the VTR is a nice bike. I'm glad to know I'm not the only motorcyclist here.

ahh. I was doing a bit of reading on what all its made from. seems to me buying a bunch of stuff that could be used for production of illicit drugs could find one with the feds on your doorstep quite fast. I think I'll stick to beer making and just enjoy the product of my labors.
