I had some once from a corney that was 4½ years old. It was stored in a basement with CO2 pressure on it. It was great. I think that having no "air" in it and good sanitation to start, it may last a good long time.

Do any of these dry to not leave a mess, or do they stay wet & sticky on the fittings?

I've got a CO2 leak in my new keezer. Couple questions for you guys. What is the best liquid solution to find the leak. I'm hoping that when I'm done everything won't be covered in a soapy residue. What do you guys use? :confused: Eisendrath

There is an old distributor/bottling company in Danbury CT that has thousands of used ball locks for sale at ~25. He advertises in NW CT Craigslist a few times a year. I don't know if he will ship less than a skid of 25 but I may be able to get his number.

did you purge the 1/2 keg really well several times to get most of the air out? remaining air will spoil the beer in time. i don't know if it will block the CO2 but it will share contact area with the CO2 and possibly slow entry. When in this situation I always fill to 15psi making ½CO2 /...

got the kenmore 8.8 with 10" colar. No fan and think I will add it, as my lines are warmer and I see foaming.

I have 4 secondary regulators in my keezer. It's really the way to go. Just be catreful to get ones that are rated to operate at that temp, regulate at low psi, and are non releiving. Having a check valve between them and the beer is a good idea as well.

inventory was low in beginning of 2010. inventory is just fine now bottled/kegged 56 gallons this year. 37,959+56=38,015

A fussy brew buddy of mine had that happen once while we were bottling. he put it all back in the carboy and let it resettle.

hey, what is meant by "prime the lines"? Is there some kind of special conditioning to do?
