Does anyone ever go back to Extract?

I have made some damn fine partial mash extract beers. But when I started AG brewing, I discovered something, I enjoy AG brewing! I think it is the whole process I like, it seems so connected to our past. I know that sounds cheesy as hell, but there it is.

    Question on watts/voltage

You are seeing the secondary product of a three phase transformer, one will choose this transformer when you are looking to feed multiple panels. It is more economical than buying three single phase transformers.

Lucky Enough to Grab Citra Hops....hmmm

Did you have that Zombie Dust on draft? That is a mighty tastey beer. I think if I had a pile of citra I would brew a Zombie clone. Which I might do.

ss toilet braid VS bazooka screen

No issues with the water heater ss hose. I have 1 1/2"x1/2" ss bolt clamped in the end of the line. Have been up to 30% wheat with no rice hulls or issues. I was planning on making a manifold or buying a false bottom, but with the lack of issues and brewday drama, I will leave it alone unless...

    Final Gravity Frustration

+1 On mash temps, 1 to 2 degrees away from target is tolerable but twelve degrees will really change the fermentability of your wort. Have you checked your hydrometer? It should read 1.00 in 60 degree distilled water. Hope this helped.

    Stickers on Kegs...

I use a little wall paper steamer with a nozzle attatchment, they peel right off. Then a little goof off, voila!

    Designing Great Beers

I agree with you all, there is a lot of great information in this book! My original question still stands, any other similar resources out there, that are more recent? Thanks, Jim

    Designing Great Beers

Agreed, but a lot of the information is twenty plus years old.

Made me chuckle. If I use gelatin, what effect would it have on pitching some unwashed slurry?

    Kloudy kolsch

I used the WL 029, first time I have used it. I pitched the starter at 65 and then moved it to a 62 ambient spot. It took off fast and seemed to work quickly. It has been sitting at .010 for a week and has not cleared much. So let it clear on it's own? Can do. Thanks, Jim

    Kloudy kolsch

I didn't use moss or whirlflock when I boiled, so here I am three weeks later sitting at .010 and wondering if this beastie will clear. I just put it in at 38 for a cold crash and was thinking about racking it to keg on wednesday. The question is do you think I should add finings or gelatin or...
