    Ran The Table This Year!

Super Stoked that I managed to get every Vintage release from Firestone this year! Not an easy task where I live as we don't have a good selection of higher end beers.

    California Complete All Grain Setup

Explain to her that if you don't get it all at once it will cost 2-3 times as much when all is said and done. "Babe. Does it make more sense for me to spend $950 now or $2500 over the next couple years? I'm just trying to do what is financially best for us in the long run." She'll understand...

    Buring my beer, Help!

Augiedoggy. Thanks for looking out, but neither of those elements look remotely like the one on Bobby's site. Plus if Bobby is commenting about failure of chinese elements I doubt he would sell the models he has seen fail. Everything I have purchased from him has been high quality. I'll keep...

    Buring my beer, Help!

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like I should probably implement both of the ideas I had. Been trying to talk myself into brewhardwares TC element anyways. TexasWine, Thanks for all the excellent information. My element had massive amounts of carbon the time I used honey. Around 1/8" that...

    Buring my beer, Help!

My current element is not an ULWD element, reading stuff on this forum seemed like that got mixed feelings. I'm definitely considering switching though. I COMPLETELY cleaned the element after last time, probably overkill.

    Buring my beer, Help!

I have been brewing for awhile, but with propane. I just switched to an electric system and have burnt two batches. Currently have an auberins PID, 4500 watt element from lowes (straight, not the wavy kind), and a 20 gallon single vessel BIAB setup. The first batch I burnt came out BAD. I...

Welding stainless mesh... anyone done it?

That is some beautiful welding. That is actually welded? Not soldered, brazed or otherwise? I only ask because if so I am super impressed and want to pick your brain a bit. Assuming that is welded you are kinda my new hero!

    Love the Gargoyle!

Curious what others think of Stone beers. Personally, Stone is one of my go to breweries. I really enjoy the crazy variety of one off experimental beers they put out. By no means do I like all their beers, but unless it is a style I know I am not a fan of I buy just about anything they put out...

CLOG - Commercial brew LOG. - Log & Rate the beers you drink

I just recently (past couple months) started doing this for my own benefit so I can remember whether or not to buy a beer again. Since this thread has not been unstuck to fall into the abyss, I'll revive it. 2016 Velvet Merkin. Firestone Walker. USA. 9.5 -Bourbon and oak flavors are great...

Most unique / novel DIY beer project you've seen?

In two catagories: ...most unique period ...most unique that would still have mass appeal and useability.

The worst beer I have ever had in my life...

Mine was "Game Day" It came from a grocery outlet and was something like $4 for a 12 pack. We ended up using them for target practice, and I'll drink some pretty bad beer just so it won't get wasted.

Welding stainless mesh... anyone done it?

I've been looking at arborfab for ideas, but it's more about learning to do it than anything else. I want to learn how to make ALL the things!
