Whats the best brew pub area in the US?

Portland , OR seems like a very interesting option to me. My main interest is in brew pubs, local beer kinda style. Also, I have a friend who lives not far from there and would be a blast to pay him a visit. Is there any place online where I could find out more about Portland's brewing...

    CIP Pump question

Hello I am in the process of designing a brewstand (brutus 10 style for 100 liters - ~27 gallons), and I was thinking about using it as a CIP system as well. Both to clean itself up, and also use it to clean my fementers. My idea was to use the same pumps used for brewing (I plan on...

Ball lock vs. Pin Lock Corneys

Ive used both and either will work just as fine. Ball lock connection seems more confortable, more stable... my opinion. Pin lock is a little bit shorter and wider. Id say like ~3 inches shorter.

    Beer Smith and fermentation

Mine does change estimated FG based on yeast choice. What BS doesnt do is change estimated FG based on mash profile. It will give you the same estimated FG no matter whats your mash temp / how long it lasts.

My label - Any feedback well appreciated!

The logo is my favorite part as well, I think it tones down the "classic look" a little bit, and gives a distinct charm. Thanks for the feedback! Some people said they think the color combination "adds value". I think they will go well with the amber brown bottle. Thanks for the...

Hello everyone. I am fairly new to homebrewing (Just made my 9th batch this last weekend), and I am working on getting a label going. Everyone that samples my beer asks about the label... So I decided to make a "generic" label where I can add the information by hand about each batch. This...
