Have you searched for RO dispensers in your area? About 5 minutes from me there is a self-service unit so I just got two 5 gallon jugs with screw on lids and handles and I go fill them a day or so before I brew. It's $2 per 5 gallons.

I used to brew with two other guys and that was just fine because we were all into it, every step of the way. Occasionally I get the bright idea to try to get someone into brewing or just have someone around while I do and I always end up very annoyed.

What faucet do you have? I've yet to see one that you can't unscrew the head then put an adapter for whatever fitting you need in it's place. However, I'm sure I have seen fewer faucets than I haven't seen so this is just a thought.
