    Transporting kegs

If you are moving them and serving then get some tubs at Lowes or something and fill them with ice. Move the kegs a few hours before serving them and pour off the first pint because residue will get stirred up(at least I heard somewhere it is a good idea to do another pour off but I never have)...

What I did for beer today

I am brewing another Marblehead lager using my brand new bayou burner that is probably the best thing I have bought for brewing yet! It is so Mich better than my pos electric stove that can barely maintain a rolling boil on 3.5 gallons of water. I can't wait till I get a larger pot and I can do...

    Starter size/multiple yeast pitches

I have had great success using a stir plate and doing 2000 ml starters and I normally don't have to double up. I just let it do its thing then chill and decant some of it before I pour it in. 3L does seem kind of high for a batch at 1.068 though? A good place to get a pretty well priced stir...

    Steeping grains question

Just don't let them sit around for a very long time. I have heard of people having grains for a month or two without any negative affects but I would not recommend having them around longer than that.

    What You Wear While Brewing

I wear some type of brewing shirt, jeans, and slippers. I have noticed what is up with everyone that wears sandals? Also I brew inside until I get a burner and bigger pot to do full extract boils.

    State College, PA

A LHBS would be awesome in State College. I am sure that homebrewing would grow a lot more in PA if there were actually more than a scarce few LHBS's

    stick blender for whirlpool?

I don't believe many people achieve a "cone" but I at least get some of it close to the center. Lately I have been trying to transfer almost everything except the extreme sludge to see how it effects the overall flavor.
