Silicone Stretch Lids for carboy jar

I try to avoid silicone in all cold side processes. I don't know why bungs, gaskets ext are so often made of this material, and thus very popular. Many of the airlocks sold to homebrewers are very oxygen permeable, even during active fermentation. Take a look at this paper. I've switched to...

    Cutting co2 dip tube

I did the same on all of my kegs. It helps with oxygen purging as well. With the CO2 tube cut so that it doesn't protrude into the keg you can tilt the keg so that the CO2 in is the highest point and fill with StarSan prior to purging without having a small air pocket at the top.

    Should i return this tubing?

Diffusion of a gas is when molecules of that particular gas move from an area where they have a higher partial pressure to an area in which that particular gas exerts a lower partial pressure. Diffusion is different from “bulk flow” (mass movement or convection). 'Bulk flow", gas movement is...

    Should i return this tubing?

Gass diffusion is based on partial pressures of the gases, not total pressure. With 100% CO2 inside the gas line and atmosphere pressure outside there will be O2 diffusion through the 'red gas' line over time. The EVA barrier has a much lower diffusion rate. I kept some kegs on tap for 10+...

    Should i return this tubing?

On the CO2 or beer side? They work great for me on beer side. At least (10) of the ones that have failed for me I purchased from you, so you can bump that number a bit:). (Edit, checked and I've ordered (32) from you and about a dozen from other sources, out of which I've had about 15-20 fail...

    Should i return this tubing?

I've gotten the 4mm ID tubing over over 5/16 barbs pretty easy using boiling water and a swaging tool. First one took a couple minutes, but the 3rd one I had a routine of dunk in water, swag tool until friction, dunk, swag until friction, insert barb as far as it will go, dunk, put on QD while...

    DUOTIGHT LEAKS......

I had Ultra 235 line for my beer line and the 'regular red CO2 line' for years I swapped both for EVA Barrier lines. Had the JG connectors on the Ultra 235 in the keezer, conditioning fridge, and in several lines I disconnected regularly for kegging and never had an issue with them. The issue...

    DUOTIGHT LEAKS......

I think you are correct. And I've had the JG version on my beer lines for years, including using the same fittings when changing from Ultra 235 vs EVA Barrier. I've lost confidence in using them on the CO2 side. Although the EVA Barrier is much better then the red 'CO2 line'. I still had all...

    DUOTIGHT LEAKS......

I continue to have the fittings fail, in areas that I have't touched lately. I know that the failures are due to over tightening, however, I've had ones fail on quick disconnects that I never use a wrench on. Interestingly the ones that are failing with micro cracks..... I can install on beer...

    22 MULTI-QUAT SANITIZER vs Star-San

That's very strange. You don't have a location set but it must be a regional issue. Same link for me.

    Temperature control

So actively cooling it. The beer/wort will always be at the same temperature as the room, or if fermenting warmer. It cannot get cooler than the environment without something actively removing heat.

    Temperature control

How would the wort be colder then the room without active cooling?

    Keg Carb Mystery

Is it "actually' flat or just has no head? If you put some in a a water bottle and shake it does it act like it's carbonated?
