    I have let the same yeast cake ride 4 or 5 times and never had any issues with fermentation. i normally only use nutrient for wines, ciders, and sugar wash for hard seltzer.

    Brewing another 10 today. i'd do 15 but i'm out of room in my ferm chamber. using T-58 yeast. didn't have enough torrified wheat so sub'd in 3lbs of red wheat. shouldn't make a huge difference.

    Hartwick Hops

    checked it 3 days in the bucket. still fermenting, lots of yeast in suspension in the sample i poured from the spigot on the fermenter so the gravity reading is probably off. I gave it a taste though. it's an IPA! edit: 10 gallons of dank. will keg then forget about it until august i think.

    nice. i have a bit of a fuggle plant that did nothing for a few weeks just start growing from a new node. same with my Arcadian hops. will have to move buckets into basement for the winter but next yr they will go straight into the ground.

    Don't Do That.

    If you have two pot sizes and use two sides of a paint stirrer as a scale for each, don't mix them up when topping off post boil. I'm now boiling my wort for the second time today sans hops.

    Do you have a good American Wheat Beer recipe?

    60% White Wheat Malt 36% 2-row 4% Carapils I have a lutra cake in my fermenter and it's summer so.... was thinking of 10 gallons of wheat beer with Columbus at 60 with one keg getting a lemon peel tea and the other getting a secondary with 3 lbs of pineapple.

    I have a fermenter with lutra kviek yeast cake in it. thinking of brewing up 10 gallons of a session ipa with say 8oz or more of hartwick for aroma since i still have almost a lb left this weekend.

    How do you save your cooling water?

    there are critters digging 2 1/2" holes in my lawn. I put the hose from the chiller down those. however even with chilling 12 gallons of wort they never seem to over flow.
