    Update to this. Fricken awesome, used wlp775 (English cider). Used 4 cinnamon stick. Turned out dry, full of apple and cinnamon flavors, and delicious! Very happy with this recipe!!!

    Anyone else stuck working on Christmas eve?

    Gotta work third shift at the hospital then drive 2hours north straight after. It will call for some home brewed porters and ciders, followed by a barrel aged barley wine from Jackie O's. it could always be worse!

    Also should mention I wasn't expecting it to be amazing but just a different beast. Anyone have similar experiences? I'm thinking of adding more lemon to give it some more tang.

    Update - One week into fermentation, some weird flavors going on. Not quite sure how to put it in words but not great or what I thought. Measures 1.020. Blueberries barely if at all detectable. Hoping if I rack it on 5-10 lbs in the secondary it will be more desirable. Any input is welcome!

    Thanks guys. It's refreshing having people with words of encouragement. I plan on letting it sitting for about 2-3 months in the primary. Now I won't worry about contamination because my stuff is really clean/sanitized. Once again, thanks so much!

    Just did this exact recipe using motts apple juice and 30oz of light brown sugar. I'm OG was 1.060. Shouldn't it by higher? Edit - I mixed it more thoroughly and ended up with a OG of 1.070.

    This sounds great - I've been looking for a solid and relatively easy cider to brew up with a new abv..and this fit perfect! How much of the cinnamon came through? Do you think adding an extra stick would still be good?

    Thanks guys - def will add pectic enzyme and the lemon juice. Blueberry and lemon was my origjnall idea but just was worried about it being to acidic, so I won't add too much.
