"special" yeast to harvest from bottles

I'm interested in making a two hearted clone. I was going to buy a 6pk of bells pale ale and save the yeast from each bottle. Is there a time limit as far as saving the yeast and then using it? Assuming I keep it in the refrigerator?

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

Just brewed this the weekend before last. Will be kegging it Sunday to hopefully be ready for Thanksgiving. I've never kegged before. What pressure should I set for the CO2? By the way, the photo below is from last night. This is after a day of gelatin. Clear and tastes good.

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

I brewed this yesterday. 1 oz of crystal & 1/2 oz of willamette. I could taste the hops just out of the fermenter.

i was looking at the Cream of 3 Crops recipe. That looks like the way to go with the crowd I'll have. It should be a step up from Natural Light!

Recommendations on a quick beer to appeal to the masses

November 3 is "Teach a friend to brew day". I'd like to brew a beer that will be ready by Thanksgiving and will appeal to the masses. We are hosting Thanksgiving @ our house and I'd like to offer some of my homebrew. I'll be kegging the beer. Any suggestions on a recipe or style?

How to clean a counterflow chiller?

I just purchased a counterflow chiller used a few days ago. Since I have no idea what's inside or if it was cleaned after the last use, what's a good way of cleaning the gunk out of it? Any special chemicals/solutions? Thanks

Kegerator from single tap to dual tap

I just bought a Danby Kegerator off of Craigslist (for $50! :rockin:). It has a single tap handle. Is there a way to make it 2 taps? Any kind of conversion kit? Thanks.

Fermentation started before I pitched the yeast

here's what I woke up to this morning. I guess the yeast I pitched is taking a foothold... hopefully they'll drive back the invading enemy yeast :rockin:

Fermentation started before I pitched the yeast

so we decided to brew at the last minute. I made a Scottish ale wee heavy which required a large starter. I brewed Sunday and put it in my fermentation chamber. I started my yeast starter and pitched it today (Wednesday). Before I pitched it, I noticed that my fermenter was bubbling away...

Can you force carb a beer that didn't carb naturally?

They are at around 76. I do see sediment in the bottom. And I've only been chilling for a day before sampling one. I guess I should put in the fridge for a week and try them.

Can you force carb a beer that didn't carb naturally?

It's been about 5 weeks. They are both low alcohol beers. I'm planning on waiting but I'm trying to figure out my options just in case. I'd hate to just dump a bunch of beer without trying everything first.

Can you force carb a beer that didn't carb naturally?

I've got a few beers that never carbed properly. These were bottle conditioned. I'm getting a keg setup at the end of the month. Can I dump all of the bottles in a keg and force carb it?

Want to get into kegging... which setup?

I've been shopping around the beer equipment stores for a kegging system. Is it better to by one of the starter packages (keg, co2 tank and regulator) or buy the pieces individually? I'd like to stay at $200 or less which may be an issue. I was reading some of the reviews on the basic...

    Carb level with kegging

I've not kegged before but was thinking about getting into it. I was just reading over at ebrew ( http://www.ebrew.com/primarynews/intro_keg_system.htm ) that the carb level is generally lower than bottled beer. Is that true? I thought with a keg you could carb any level you want. I'm thinking...
