Checked the Maple Bacon to see how its fermenting. Looks good. Recipe recommends 67-70 deg but I'm running 72-73. No fermenter so we we'll see what it gives us.

I had the first American Pale Ale I ever drank today. Now that I'm rounding the corner of 6 of them, I'm starting to appreciate the subtleties of this fine beverage. :tank:

The challenge you have is the color of the wert or beer. If you have yellow beer and try to dye it with blue, ittle turn green. To have no kidding light blue beer, you'll need to find a way to steep grain without imparting color to the wert. Either that or find a way to filter color..... To be...

You could be right but I say if you wanna do 10 styles in 10 recipes, do it. If it sucks, age it. If it still sucks, dump it. That's the beauty of it... You do it how you want and learn as you go.

I am NOT one of the 'smarter' minds but I say leave it as is, man up and get some of that slayer. She's a little rough around the edges but ultimately extremely satisfying. And it's cheaper than a strip club!

So I got the yeast in the mail yesterday.... along with 100$ worth of other goodies including the next beer (American Honey Ale) I used the S-04 and the Maple Bacon was brewed and is fermenting as of this afternoon. Thanks again for the direction as to what to order. I'll update as updates...
