Wanted Looking for can seamer (any kind)

Looking to buy a used can seamer. Not particularly picky but oktober is preferred. Must be able to ship to FL (or be local in SWFL or the SF Bay Area).

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

looks to be roughly 4.25-4.5 gallons. Didn't weigh it, this is just going off the condensation markings on the side. That's including loss to trub/yeast as well

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

tiny bit of hop burn currently but I don't really mind that in NEIPAs. I think splitting the dry hop into multiple charges and moving it off of the previous charge helps minimize the hop burn (at least anecdotally in my experience). Transferred it to the serving keg sunday and drank two glasses...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I'm carbing my beer while I dry hop in the DH keg. I set it to 40psi 24 hours before I transfer into the serving keg, then set it to serving pressure when it's in the serving keg. I usually forget to rouse but when I do I figure it's easier just to shake the keg.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

This is my latest one, employed the patented dgallo closed transfer fermonster lids for the transfers on this one too. 8.4% NE DIPA. Outdoor lighting vs garage lighting pictures for transparency. 5.5 gal into the fermenter 76% Pilsner 21% Flaked Oats 3% dextrose slightly missed my gravity so...

Looking for a hops recommendation for a Coconut Stout

I wouldn't worry about hops per se, they'll get overwhelmed by the coconut. I'd stay away from the extract if you can, most coconut extract tastes very artificial (very suntan lotion like). I prefer 50:50 toasted/raw coconut into the fermenter post fermentation. I do 1lb per gallon in my big...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

totally, planning on working some angles on the selected/freestyle/crosby hops with some brewery friends now that I'm brewing ipas again. I've had very rare issues with YVH, just want to explore all of my options.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I asked this question on reddit but didn't really get a great response: What do you think is the place to get the highest quality hops as a homebrewer? I currently buy from YVH but have been looking into other sources as of late. Here are the main places that seem to be options outside of YVH...

Florida Which Florida distilleries use small format barrels?

I do A LOT of barrel aging projects. I usually order them online but obviously I'd prefer to pick them up myself and save the shipping costs + know they're fresh. Are there any distilleries in Florida that ya'll know about that use the small format barrels? Willing to drive about 3.5-4 hours...

Best Hazy IPA recipe you've ever created/brewed

    What is your House beer?

I'd consider that I sort of have two, however, I more closely align with something the head brewer of The Eighth State Brewing in SC said on a recent Craft Beer and Brewing podcast. He talked about how they don't have core beers, they think of it as having core "styles", ie they always try to...

    Buying Beer As A Homebrewer

I really don't think homebrewers should ever stop drinking "commercial" beer. Yes you may make beer you think is very good, and yes at a certain point homebrew will be cheaper, but at the same time if you're just drinking your own beer it's hard to develop your palate or find inspiration...

    Show Us Your Label

My latest imperial stout. 1.160 down to 1.063 with the final maple syrup addition. Aged for 5 months in a 5 gallon maple rye barrel, treated with 1.2oz of coffee for about 4.5 gals of beer

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

poor phrasing. I meant to say I get the same melon thing that was mentioned from the beers I drink from EQ 95% of the time. I use LAIII for my NEIPAs and have never gotten it in any of my beers

    Best NEIPA hop combos

2oz each in the whirlpool/flame out. The rest in the DH

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

the melon thing is definitely something fermentation derived. It doesn’t matter what hops EQ uses, I get that same melon thing 95% of the time. I’ve noticed it also gets stronger with age (as the hop character fades). It’s a shame because the handful of beers I’ve had from them that didn’t have...

American IPA Citra Down To The Socks - Award Winning (2x) Double Dry Hopped NE DIPA

super variable depending on the system you use. I don’t recirculate just because of my system. I just sparge to my preboil volume

Double IPA Gambler IPA (2018 Iron Brewer Competition Winner)

I don’t recall swish being particularly bitter. Definitely has a bite on the finish but I always thought Substance was noticably more bitter than Swish. This honestly looks a little like a heady/focal crossover though which sounds dope
