LOL I forgot this is home brewing! I should have made my own tool out of a commercial keg, some random industrial parts and something I found at a yard sale! :-P

Thanks Bobby I found the tool on Amazon. BeverageFactory.com buyer beware I guess. They shipped me a disassembled picnic ball lock hose and forgot 1/2 the parts. Then they ship replacement parts and I need to buy yet another tool which costs more then the assembly... What a bunch of clowns.

Do I really need a special tool to secure it?

Before I "learn" how this clamp works by breaking it... Anyone know how this clamp is supposed to work? It goes on the hose that will connect to a ball lock liquid connector.

It's been a while since I've shipped a 50lb sack of malt and it looks like the usual suspects have gotten rid of flat rate shipping. Can anyone recommend a good home brew site that ships with a flat rate or relatively cheap shipping rate?

Does anyone know the McMaster-Carr part number for the rubber airlock gaskets?

So I've been using these buckets for some time now and I have a couple of comments to share. These are at times hard to seal, almost as if they are miss threading when closing. This hasn't caused any issues for me beer wise but I was a little surprised when after a few days I had no apparent...

Montanaandy makes a great point. You need a ton of torque at low speeds. The slower you can go the better crush you get, the better efficiency you'll see later. Having a well constructed mill that you can use will make a world of difference compared to what you were use to seeing from you LHBS.

Just my two cents. I had a lower amp drill and I smoked it this weekend on my 3-roll crankenstein. I ordered a 10amp drill instead that is a beast.

Why not just calculate the PayPal fee and we'll add to the price? It's fairly minimal and would avoid the disruption/hardships.

The trick to PayPal is you have to send the money as a gift and it has to come out of your bank account otherwise they will charge a fee.
