Torpedo Keg Buoy - Floating Dip Tube

That's good to know, I did not have this issue with the https://www.ballandkeg.com/balls-up-floating-dip-tube.php I guess that is one benefit of having to trim off the existing stainless dip tube to 3" as they recommend. It was pretty easy to do with a hacksaw.

DIY/poor man's floating diptube for clear beer

Does that include shipping? I couldn't seem to come up with that cost. I was getting something closer to $12 with shipping and for that I may as well buy them from somewhere like this: https://www.ballandkeg.com/balls-up-floating-dip-tube.php

Torpedo Keg Buoy - Floating Dip Tube

I dry hop in a bag or in a screen canister. I like to hang them with thread so they are only a few inches into the liquid and then after a few pints they are not in the liquid anymore. Then I can use the non-screened floating dip tube from Ballandkeg. Do you have issues with leaving your hops...

    Triple IPA too sweet...

I'd just dump it in it will settle out. Pour slowly as others have mentioned.

How to keep Hazy/NE IPAs tasting fresh?

It doesn't stay on hops as I suspend the canister in the keg. You drink it off the hops in a few glasses. I've closed transferred to a purged keg many times, but found it not necessary lately. I can taste no ill effects from staying on the yeast a couple months. To each his own of course.

    The Home Made Pizza Thread

Hi folks, been making pizza for quite a while and got my crust dialed in thanks to reading this thread. What is the consensus best pizza sauce out of the can or jar? I'd like to get that nailed.

How much of this is yeast...

I'd just make it easy and use all of it.

How to keep Hazy/NE IPAs tasting fresh?

Ferment in the keg and serve from the same keg. Best thing I've done for my IPA's. After a month or two they still taste great and look amazing. I only dry hop one time and I suspend the hops in a hop canister a few inches into the liquid. You can purge the keg with CO2 when you open it to...

    Assistance building tasty Belgian Ale?

I take it down for a couple hours, maybe to two or three cups. It's pretty syrupy when I'm done. It does add a little color and the flavor reminds me of the candy syrup, but maybe a little richer and not quite so twangy if that makes sense.

    floating dip tube?

I have been using the Ballandkeg floating dip tubes for fermenting and serving from the same keg. I've done it a few times now with IPA's. I will say that I don't dry hop loose, I use a hop canister and suspend it from the lid so it hangs into the liquid a few inches. I do this so my hops...

    Assistance building tasty Belgian Ale?

Most recipes use at least 50% pilsner malt. I love to remove a 1/2 gallon of wort and boil it down to a syrup and add it back. I've made some of my best tasting Belgians using this method without needing Candi Syrup.

7 Kegs at 25psi and I'm out of Co2, normal for 5lb tank or do I have a leak?

You have a leak. I use around 100 grams of CO2 to carbonate and serve a single keg.

    floating dip tube?

I got mine from here: https://ballandkeg.com/balls-up-floating-dip-tube.php They work the same I would imagine and a couple bucks cheaper.

    Triple IPA too sweet...

I would boil and ounce of Warrior or Magnum in a quart of water, strain it and add that. Give it a few days and do it again if you want more. That beer can age a bit so time is on your side.

DIY/poor man's floating diptube for clear beer

What is the total cost of this to make one to three units? I'm trying to see if it is better to make them or buy them.

    Scrapped the auto-siphon

I haven't used an auto siphon in a couple years. I ruined several batches this way until I realized all the bubbles going through the thing were air. I felt like an idiot that I hadn't figured it out sooner. I pitched it then and I've tried two or three other siphons since then, all of which...

Pale ale with (S04 yeast) fermentation temperature

That's a good first effort. The fact that you already have a way to control temperatures is going to help you make good beer very quickly. Most ale yeasts are going to benefit somewhat to quite a bit by controlling the temp to 64-65 F the first week.

    7 hop IPA

With 3.5 ounces for 60 minutes it's going to be good and bitter. I would add all the dry malts for the last 15 minutes or so. It tends to keep things a little lighter and you don't really need to boil those the whole time.

Torpedo Keg Buoy - Floating Dip Tube

These are a slightly cheaper alternative if you don't mind trimming your liquid diptube off to 3" in length. I've been using a few of them for a while after I wasn't able to get them from Williams. https://www.ballandkeg.com/balls-up-floating-dip-tube.php
