Cream Ale Yeast extract kit recommendation please

Cream Ale Yeast extract kit recommendation please

I actually have a SAFALE US-05 dry yeast packet in my fridge from my Pale Ale disaster. Would that work in this?

Cream Ale Yeast extract kit recommendation please

Bear in mind that this is only my second batch, and hopefully my first successful one. I've never used active yeast or wet/reconstituted/rehydrated yeast, so a dry yeast that I can get at my LHBS would probably be best unless you can advise me on how to best use it LOL

Cream Ale Yeast extract kit recommendation please

Howdy brew crew, I purchased a cream ale extract kit from more beer.com and it doesn't come with yeast. I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion for what yeast I should use with this. I have attached the recipe card so you can see the ingredients.

    Cleaning Equipment

Do you clean them right after use? If so, is that it? Or do you clean them again before a new batch and before sanitizing?

    Cleaning Equipment

So, if i put a gallon of water and an oz of PBW in mt fermenter and shake it up and then wipe it clean is that sufficient cleaning? Or is soaking it the better way? I dont want to fill a 7 gallon fermonster with water if i dont have to.

This is the part where you say welcome to the board dummy...

I think that deep down she was probably royally pissed off but she could see how distraught I was and she knew how much work I put into it and I think she felt bad for me so she probably went easy on me because of all that. If I do something stupid like that again though she'll probably be...

    Cleaning Equipment

This may seem like a really stupid question but how do most of you expert Brewers clean your equipment? I bought a bucket of PBW and I have starsan obviously for sanitizing but the only things I've ever heard as far as cleaning, is filling up a 5 gallon bucket with water and mixing in the PBW...

I appreciate all the kind words and advice. I would have responded earlier but i had already hit my 5 post n00b maximum. As far as the wife goes... she gave me a big hug and told me things will go better next time.

My equipment kit came with a five gallon fermenting bucket but maybe I have a hang up about plastic so I decided to get a glass Carboy instead. In terms of the rest of your response... the mockery is definitely warranted LOL

Incoming first brew day. Here are a couple of questions.

I saw a video on YouTube where a guy chilled his wort in less than 5 minutes by pouring refrigerated overnight jugs of water into it from up high into a fermenting bucket. He also introduced a ton of oxygen into his Wort This Way. He was pitching the yeast about two minutes later. I went ahead...

So, I'm a pretty new homebrewer, in fact on Sunday I brewed for the very first time and quite frankly it was a disaster and I'm completely embarrassed about it. However I figured I would introduce myself to all of you with a story that will surely make you all laugh and shake your heads in...
