    this is just a pic of the hops ill have to take another pic of the inside later but 1 or 2 of those are kinda brown on the inside

    hey i was just wondering if its cool that a few of my hop cones are slightly brown in the very center of the cone,like the outside is a light green and they feel right and smell nice but if i peel back the leaf a bit i can see a browning in the center on a few of them.thanks.

    thats pretty cool, i would run it with some PBW and rinse real good and the hit with some star san through the lines the base is up to you i like to keep things original personally

    so i was wondering once i dry my hop cones and im ready to brew a batch should i just put the whole hop cones into the boil or is there some prep i should do? like crush them or wash them or break them up, or throw them in whole after they dry which is what im thinking i should do. thanks

    well i see like the branches that hop cones have formed on but then there was a vine that grew out and then went to the top and grew its own branches that had hop cones, but i will leave them alone ill enjoy more hops

    vine off vine

    Hey i started growing my own hops and noticed a vine growing out from the side of a main vine i let it grow and it went all the way to the top of the trellis and started to flower should i trim these vines in the future or let it grow and get more hops.

    Hey i was just thinking of a new brew and was wondering if it was possible or safe to use any ol pine tree branches/needles , i have alot of pine trees around my place but im not sure if they are the right type , i know they arent spruce, Also would you add them the same way as hops, thanks:mug:

    Its best to have it boil as vigorously as possible without boiling over.
