    5 Day Sweet Country Cider

Well guys, OG was 1.08, 3 days in im at 1.06, seems to be going a bit slower then most others in this thread but not sure if the 5 gallon batch will just take a bit longer than the 1 gallon batches... No reason to be concerned I guess, still getting good airlock activity, its just not wild

    5 Day Sweet Country Cider

my issue isnt really how clear or cloudy it is. Its how much yeast I am going to suck through the spigot when bottling the first 5 bottles if I dont siphon it out, clean the bottling bucket, and siphon it back.

    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

Just started a one gallon batch, really looking forward to it, plan on aging for a long time before consuming and will likely do 2-3 more batches before I get a chance to taste the first.... such is life though right?

    Welch's Grape Juice Wine

I know this post was forever ago but I did the recipe tonight except with cranberry grape (welches) and intentionally upped my OG to roughly 1.118-1.12. I used the exact same yeast and am hoping my yeast chokes out around 1.010 or 1.015, Looking to have a nice sweet wine that packs a...

Cider Smells VERY yeasty in secondary?

Sounds great, I used a very thick cloudy cider off the start...not sure if that has anything to do with it

Cider Smells VERY yeasty in secondary?

I have 3 batches of cider going (1 gallon each), this is my first attempt. I used store bought organic cider, added a bit of brown sugar (about a half a cup per gallon), and threw the yeast in (1/5th of a packet for each gallon). I let it sit in primary for 2 weeks, and had a solid half an inch...

    First timer question

I believe so. I'd like to add sugar to sweeten and bottle it, then leave for 3-4 days. And the pasteurize. I am not particular about how much carbonation, just not much. Really just a touch of sparkle. Will 3 days suffice and not be to much?

    First timer question

I have 3 one gallon batches going that I have moved to secondary after almost 3 weeks in primary. There is not a bit of sugar left In it and I am wanting to sweeten to taste and carbonate for a couple days and than heat pasteurize per the sticky in this forum. Using frozen cans of concentrate...
