    It is a bit dicey but I use what I have since I serve with picnic taps. The whole thing stays together because I have a tap in each hand.

    I use back to back picnic taps connected by an old bottling wand tube shoved into the spigots. With fully carbed cold beer, i transfer with the lid off with no foaming. Note that the receiving keg usually is at least half full.

    KWB, I never backed off the sprinklers after the weather got cool and the growth slowed down. They get filtered light as they are in the shade of other plants. I fertilized twice since in the last 6 weeks. I see some bud like things but they seem to turn black.

    My mechanical would not calibrate at both freezing and boiling but my digital would. I calibrated the mechanical at 155f according to the digital.

    Sounds like you overcarbonated or are unbalanced for the style you are serving. Did you check the sticky for carbonation temps and pressures? For line balancing?

    Amen brother! I insist pronouncing trub like tub and not troob, tun like fun and not toon. Right, wrong, or ignorant, thats how I roll. To non-brewers, I translate similar as the OP suggests.

    Has the beer been in the fridge long enough for the SO4 to drop completely crystal clear? I have found extra bitterness from SO4 while the beer is still a bit hazy.

    You can always taste your water after adding campden and salts to see if the taste is good.

    Crushing a tablet between spoons works for me. You can really grind it down to a fine dust this way.
