New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Good I'm not the only one that gets distracted by the lip smacking. Haha

    Discussion on malty German beers

I did the same thing here with all the local breweries. I believe I tried 3 or 4 and every one was drastically different from the next.

    I Love Making Yeast Starters

I just found out about those proper starters and thought to my self why cant I just can my own? Good to see that you do this as well. How long does the canned stuff last? I am not new to canning as I do it plenty with our garden every year but it so acidic compared to this sweet wort.

California Anvil 4 Gallon Stainless Bucket Fermenter - $45 - SF Bay Area

Wish I lived closer...don't think shipping to Canada will be cheap. Haha

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

Well I will have to give mine a good measure then. Mine fits two cornies, I always thought the handles and the hump in the mini fridge would make it not work.

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

I see a few places in the US still has them but with our crappy dollar right now it would be more expense then just waiting till they are back in stock here in Canada.

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

Hmm, your the first person that I have heard this from. What mini fridge do you have?

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

Even the Anvil site states they are out of stock. I'm guess the shipping might be different here in Canada though, mind you it is way cheaper to ship in the US.

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

Maybe this is why they are not in stock most places. Hoping they ran out of inventory and are making or redesigning new ones.

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

I have heard nothing but good things from everyone. I dont believe these anvil ones fit in a mini fridge but the ss brewtech ones do. I could be wrong though. I'm looking forward to the stainless!!

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

Going to sell my FastFerment and get one of these, only problem is they are sold out everywhere! I see they also have a chilling system out with a pump, might be something to look at while I'm at it.

    FastFerment conical

No problem! I used to not take the ball valve apart after a brew. I would just work it back and forth with some hot water and call it good, after taking it apart one day I quickly realised that this method was not sufficient. I now take it apart after every brew, but the past few times I have...

    FastFerment conical

My experience has been to just keep using more tape until it stops leaking. I personally have been using the 7g fast ferment and while it has been a good fermenter I think I will be selling it and going with the anvil stainless brew bucket.

Sweet Stout Left Hand Milk Stout Clone

Pretty much made this recipe but with a few different amounts in the grain weights. To bad I put the 60 min hops in at 90min.....idiot. Then on top of that seeing as its winter here I can't use my garden hose for chilling the wort so I ended up just keeping the lid on after the boil and racked...

How is everyone adding the 2nd dry hop with regards to oxygen exposure?

Keg gelatin fining - can you use too much?

1/4 cup of water heated to 150, then add 1/2 tsp is all you need. This is what I do and the beer is crystal clear. Cool the beer below 50f before adding the mixture.

    Removing Sulfur Post Fermentation

I ended up doing a bit of yours and day_trippr's suggestions. Once I got the keg ready for beer and pressurised I hooked it up to the fermenter for a closed transfer. I then let the pressure from the keg back into the fermenter and bubble away which worked really well. I filled as normal and...
