    yeast sediment in bottles

    If you force carbonate beer you will eliminate alot of the yeast, but you will still have a thin tiny layer of yeast. If you want near zero yeast, you will need to force carbonate and filter.

    Need a flask for starters?

    +1 to using a Growler. I use the 1gallon one for my 2L starters and .5gallon for the 1L starters. However I plan on getting a small flask or beaker soon so I can use my stirplate.

    +1 to letting the brew stay in the primary for 3 weeks. I leave all my brews in the primary for atleast 3 weeks. and dont open the 1st bottle until after 3weeks bottle conditioning. I also force carb some of my beer just because I don't like to wait.

    screw cap bottles

    I've bottled maybe 10-20 screw cap bottles. They work, and bottle condition fine. BUT they are a pain. My redwing capper gets stuck on them sometimes. Other times the alignment is just off, and the cap seems off centered. I have also managed to break 4 bottles, and now I just recycle the...
