    how long can a Tripel age?

    Let's see..... I did 10 gal of a tripple back at the end of October 2011 5 gal I kegged about a 3 months ago and it's great! The other 5gal is still in the primary:drunk: I'll have to get around to kegging it soon...... MMMMMMMM 9.9% abv on tap...MMMMMM.... snore........

    Wyeast or White Labs? New to liquid yeast

    Liquid? Meh.... Fermentis, Notty, etc... I only use liquid when I brew a Belgian, Scottish, or something that can benefit from a liquid. These are NOT your father's dry yeasts! Try them! Bullet proof and fast!

    Extract brewing with an ekeggle

    No scorching! It's ultra low density. I do 10 gal all grain in about 4 hrs or less with a single BK heating my strike & sparge, and then boiling. A couple of buckets to sparge into, and a converted cooler mash-tun, If I was doing just extract, I figure I'd be done in about half that.

    Cold brewed

    I brewed this Saturday morning. It was -1 F when I started heating mt strike water. Man, it can get cold in Minnesota! Good thing I use electric! A nice balmy 68 F in my laundry room/ brewery!:ban:

    It's just a buffer that locks in your ph at 5.2. Great stuff, use it all the time, makes ph one less thing to worry about.

    weizenbock recipe ideas

    I used Notty's German cousin, Munich. I fermented a bit low so it's light on the banana, but that's the way I like it. Ferment in the mid 70's if you want banana bread!
