Hate to gloat bro...just picked up my Connect...1st in Canada...but won't be able to brew until Friday...work truly is the curse of the drinking class!

Good choice...Dave would be one the first distributors to receive them and has great deals on all sorts of things. I agree with the delayed and temps things as well.

Congrats and a great deal! Our local vendors give us a 10% discount on things but 20% coupon...excellent! Apparently, AIH Michigan stopped honouring discounts on GF, Blichmann and other gear.

GF Connects finally arrive in Canada - and we get them first for a change. Going to beat my way to the warehouse Monday before they start shipping out to the rest of Canada. Possibly first on the list....I sense a rather large Maple Wheat Ale coming my way...

Good to know...but a tap shim/splice might work. Likely it's easier to go your route though. We shall see.

Food for thought: I use a piece of 1/2" silicone tubing and a butterfly clamp to hold tubing on to the GF sparge tank spigot. The 1/2" valve is on the end of the hose...haven't used it yet and if it doesn't work efficiently, I can try the valve on the tank and reverse it. I'll post a pic later...

Quality control issues...mine was uber tight but on and haven't taken it off. Mind you I've only done four brews with it as I'm impatiently awaiting the new controller. IMake needs to get their sh!t together with production and delivery, as there's been three arrival delays already...

That looks yummy! I've got one bottle left from a Quebecois Quad called Mons...brewed by a Belgian expat Brewer in the middle of bumfvck nowhere Quebec...Amos. Really nice stuff though! 10.5% ABV and a belly warmer!

Yeah I see MI now and remember what a "skraeling" was doing there...we own "skraelings" here in eastern Canada. Our Connects are supposed to be here mid to end of this month. Initially here by Christmas but that went for a piss...

Mine looks like this and hangs off the side. If you don't have a hook, you could easily bend one up and attach it with stainless or brass wire.

Nope...he hates iMake the manufacturer and its Canadian distributors...he didn't get GF exclusivity as he has in many other products eg - SSBrewtech. But your point is well taken - as is Kampenken's as he most certainly isn't a marketing wizard and not exactly Mr. Congeniality. I've dealt with...

Sonny, I don't think that's where I was going with that...been brewing likely longer than you've been chewing. And still learning as I go...my comment was more on the flippant- or humorous side. Be like the brew and chill.
