    Krausen in bottles?

There shouldn't be anything at the water line of your bottle neck. I would say that's a bad sign. I've had some infections like that when I was starting out. It's a bummer but my beers where still drinkable. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Dumb mistake

Unfortunately yes. That's how I usually judge if my beer is clean during bottle conditioning. Let me just add on that there may be an infection even if you don't see the ring around the bottle neck, but I haven't encountered one. Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Dumb mistake

Look at the neck of the bottle where the beer line is. If you have an infection it will make itself present there. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    First time brew

You can leave it indefinitely. May be good to just let some of the solids drop out and clear the beer a bit. Try to introduce as little air as possible if you go to secondary. If you are going to have a lot of extra head space it may be best to just bottle after fermentation has finished...

    First time brew

Leave it alone. If you're worried about it rack into secondary after initial fermentation stops. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Auto syphon mold

Pbw works great. Make some up and run it through your siphon. What I also do is boil some water and pour it through the tubbing (not the siphon) to help loosen things up. Not sure how boiling water effects the tubbing but it's got to be better than mold. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Sounds a little warm. 75 would be a little better. I'm sure it will be great either way. Brett makes everything awesome as long as you're willing to wait for it. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Tripel - Secondary or bottle from Primary?

Sounds good to me. I've used my keg as a primary bit not a secondary. Co1 purge is really nice in the keg as well as 0 light exposure. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
