If you rack to bottles straight from your primary fermenting carboy your going to pick up a load of sediment. It's easier despite cleaning an additional carboy to use a bottling bucket. It allows for even mixing of your priming solution as well.

It will be just fine for that long. Even in primary. Don't give it a second thought. Do give work, that only gives you a few day notice about travel, a second thought...
