2.5 dry is really a great first year harvest or just 5 plants. As an example I planted 8 rhizomes this year. 1 died. I had one that I thought had done extraordinarily well and only got 4-5 oz dried from it. One of my other plants I ended up with .5 oz dry. Other than that My other plants...

After planting my hops this year I realized that I planted them too close to the house. I don't think there was enough air flow through the plant. I thought about either training them out and then up but didn't know how well that would work and if I should just dig them up and move them out...

When I first read your comment I confused bracts for bracteoles. What about the bracts are you seeing? As a reference these have been drying for about 2 days at the time of the picture.

Ha. good thought. Have you smelled them? IS the smell I am describing familiar? You are right the first batch from Zeus was great! Now these are all funky. Now it's going to bug me I'll have to go research.
