    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Wow. The color on that skin! I smoked a whole turkey breast and 2 legs yesterday. Legs were overdone but breast turned out nice. Wish the skin would have crisped up more. Will definitely be doing turkey again.

Wanted Want to buy/Trade: IPB-16 PID Heater

Never thought of using it for an aquarium. I just sold my reef tank last year. Had it for about 16 years. I was using a glass aquarium tank heater in the sump. Did have one break once though. I'll get you some pics tonight.

Wanted Want to buy/Trade: IPB-16 PID Heater

I have an original IPB-16. I bought it used within a couple weeks of buying a Brau EZ Boil. I've used the EZboil a few times and never needed the Inkbird. If my memory serves me correct, it did not have the pump switch installed. I can take some pics this evening if you wish.

What did I cook this weekend.....

Hoppy2Bmerry, would you mind sharing your Bigos recipe. I am 1/2 Polish and love to make and eat Polish foods. I don't ever remember my family eating Bigos. I combed the net and every recipe I pull up seems to be quite different other than the Kielbasa and sauerkraut.

    Off the cuff Purple Sauerkraut

Whipped up a fresh batch of kimchi tonight. Had to get some fresh gochugaru as mine got moldy in the pantry.

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

I also did a pastrami with a "On Sale Corned Beef" after St. Paddys day. It turned out awesome. I split it up into 4 packs and 3 went into the freezer. I break it out and make Reubens throughout the year. Delicious! Highly recommended.

What did I cook this weekend.....

I was afraid of that. I bought 3 4pks when I heard it was done. Unfortunately they are long gone. If your bottle shop has any more you might want to scarf it up

What did I cook this weekend.....

Let me know the date on those bottles. I don’t think they have released it since 2018. They also posted a recipe for Curmudgeon awhile back. I’ve always wanted to attempt to brew it. https://foundersbrewing.com/latest-news/2019/curmudgeon-old-ale-homebrew-recipe/

I hadn’t brewed this in awhile. Missed my OG considerably this time, but is turned out excellent. 3 weeks in the primary and a week in the keg and oh so smooth.

    Soup

I am not a big soup lover. But there are a few I enjoy. French Onion Soup, Tom Kha - Thai Coconut Soup, Homemade Beef Noodle soup cooked in the pressure cooker w/chuck roast and soup bones, and after Easter - Ham, Potato, cabbage and carrots with the ham bone. I do enjoy a good texas chili...

How did I break my oat stout-like beer?

Have you brewed any Saisions or used any yeasts with the STA-1 gene? I fought this issue for a several batches. Beers would ferment out ok and hold steady for days or weeks. Then I would bottle and that tiny amount of STA-1 yeast would multiply and ferment my stouts and porters down to...
