Does your regulator do this? (video)

Thanks for the help! I'll check this as soon as I get home from work. I guess I'll have to recall the few homebrews I shared with my neighbor for helping me change the nut on the regulator if he put it back together wrong! :cross:

Does your regulator do this? (video)

Thanks for the replies. I'm at work now, but I'll double check the port lettering when I get home. When I called micro Matic the guy told me that the gas should be left threaded. I bought mine in eBay and it shipped from Ukraine...so who knows what I got! It came with the wrong size nut, so...

    Day 2 @ 30psi, can I taste it?

Okay - I know I'm an impatient a$$hole. I should just wait. Don't rush it. Blah, blah, blah. but.... What if I gave my keg a pull after 2 days of force carving at 30psi? It's my first batch in my new keg setup and I'm curious as all hell. It was ice cold at about 35F after cold...

How to handle this keg for road trip?

My only advice is to plan extra travel time. You're going to have to stop several times to give him/her a break from the car seat. Find some nice parks along the way and plan to let them out and get some fresh air. Also, bring plenty of snacks that you can use when they start getting fussy...

How to handle this keg for road trip?

Hi Fellow Brewers, Ive got my VERY FIRST keg (BM's Centennial Blonde) carbing up in the mini fridge as we speak. I'd like to bring the brew to an upcoming family reunion starting 6/20. We'll be driving over 3 days from California to Colorado (taking our time because we'll have twin 1...

Please HELP! Is this normal? How do I fix it?

Thanks! I'll give that a try.

    Wanted Threefloyds Gumballhead clone

I just transferred mine into secondary and it was the strangest thing...when I popped the fermenter lid it smelled pretty bad. Of the 10-12 beers I've made thus far (I'm still relatively new), this one smelled the worst. Aromas of pine sap and danky armpit BO. Anyone have a similar experience...

Please HELP! Is this normal? How do I fix it?

Thanks for the reply. That may be the case. I'm still trying to figure it out. Is that a common problem?

Please HELP! Is this normal? How do I fix it?

I just hooked up my Micromatic Premium Regulator and I think there's a problem. Every time I open the CO2 tank knob, CO2 comes blasting through the blowoff spout on the regulator. Am I totally missing something?

Tasting Video of my best brew yet...funny!

I recently made a Citra Single Hop IPA that I found on BrewToad. It came out incredible!. Check out this funny head-to-head tasting video from a buddy of mine. I gave a him a sample to try and he opened it along side his first-ever Summit Pale Ale. Wasn't even close! :mug: IPnXHk0w_Pc...

American IPA Citra Single Hop IPA

Sorry - I updated my original post with the recipe and a tasting video that works. Check it again! Also - ideally fermentation temp should probably be in the 60's, but I didn't control the temp and my room was about 70. Came out great!

American IPA Citra Single Hop IPA

This recipe comes from Samuel Neitzke from BrewToad. It had great reviews so I decided to give it a try. Holy Hell...this beer is good. Fermentables 6lb Pilsen Light DME (boil) 2lb Golden Light DME (boil) 1lb Caramel Malt 20L (steep) .5lb Caramel Munich 60L .5lb White Wheat Hops 1oz...

    Is this normal?

Alright. I'm an idiot :) Apparently the guy I bought it from was in Europe and he posted the specs (see screenshot...derr). I just called micro matic and ordered the correct nut size. The tricky part is going to be unscrewing the stem which isn't taped....hopefully I don't break anything...
