Good Luck on your first brew. The Irish Red from Midwest was the 1st kit that I made. I was so happy with the results, I drank all of them in 2 weeks after they were ready. My advice to you is to start another kit as soon as you can after this one, so that you can get your "pipeline" started.

How far from Philly?

Do you have anything in the pipeline? I try and pick based on what I have left. Of course if it's a style I've never tried before, than I would go for that. Sorry for the wishy washy reply.

+1 for the Sam Adams bottles. Soak in oxyclean (or Wal-Mart's version which is only about $2), labels float right off.
