I haven't brewed a hefeweizen in over a year and ferment in stainless steel. I will start a deep clean to see what might be the culprit.

    Mangrove Jacks M54 CA common

I brewed a 2.5 gallon batch close to a month ago and used the MJ54 yeast to make a warm fermented lager. pitched the whole packet of yeast dry into my fermenter at 67-68 degrees. After 4 days, i moved it upstairs to do a diacetyl rest for around 2 weeks around 70-72 degrees. Just tried the...

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

I've been following this thread for a while now and I really like using 34/70 yeast at room temps. Made a BIAB Helles lager two weeks ago, 45 minute boil with late addition Magnum hops. Did no chill with this batch and re-pitched a 34/70 yeast slurry 24 hours later at around 66 degrees. No...

German Pils The Lazy German (raw, warm fermented pilsener)

German Pils The Lazy German (raw, warm fermented pilsener)

Long time reader, first time posting on Homebrewtalk! I was intrigued by a no boil lager as I think I have always picked up DMS whenever I have brewed a light beer (ale or lager). I gave this a shot and mashed it on my Picobrew Zymatic back in November 2017. I did a 30 minute mash with 3...
